Jewish Wedding & Event Bands in Buckinghamshire

Book a band for a Jewish wedding or simcha in Buckinghamshire

For a Jewish wedding or bar mitzvah, the band sets the energy of the whole evening. In Buckinghamshire, our Jewish event bands are used to big, lively rooms and packed dance floors, and they bring everything from a live hora medley to a polished showband set.

Whether your celebration is near High Wycombe, Milton Keynes and Marlow or elsewhere in Buckinghamshire, the acts on this page cover the whole area. Local venues include The Dairy at Waddesdon, Danesfield House Hotel and Notley Tythe Barn. It's worth sharing the venue's layout early so the band can plan where the hora circle will go.

Not every band plays a simcha the same way. Some lead a long, high-energy hora set with Israeli favourites, some add a klezmer or acoustic set for the ceremony or reception, and all of them follow up with a party set for the rest of the night.

Hireaband has been booking live music since 1999. Every Jewish event band here travels to Buckinghamshire as standard, brings the equipment it needs, and the quote you receive includes travel. Use the instant quote button on this page to check prices and availability for your date.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: from around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband, depending on line-up, date and set times
  • Hora and Israeli dance sets, klezmer and a full party set
  • Ceremony, reception and evening music available
  • Travel is included in every quote
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Check the room and any sound limiter before you choose. Large showbands need a good-sized stage area, power and floor space, and the hora needs room for a big circle, so share the floor plan with the band early on.

A five or six-piece typically starts from around £1,500, while a large showband with horns and several singers can reach £4,000 or more. The date and your set times make a difference too. The price in your quote includes travel, so it won't change once you've booked.

Every act's page has video and audio of the musicians who would actually play, their repertoire and written reviews from people who have booked them. It's the easiest way to check the style and the atmosphere before you commit.

The instant quote button gives you a price and availability for your date straight away. From there, we manage the contract and deposit and keep you updated until the event. Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and there's an emergency contact line on the day in case anything needs sorting.

FAQs

Yes. Every band in this category plays a hora and Israeli dance set, including Hava Nagila and other favourites, and will agree the songs and timing with you before the day.

Many can. Some bands offer an acoustic or klezmer set for the ceremony or drinks reception before the main evening set. Mention it when you enquire and we'll include it in the quote.

Yes. Bands bring their own PA and lighting. Larger showbands need a good-sized stage area and power nearby, so it's worth checking both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband. The number of musicians, the date and the length of the evening make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

Yes. Bands experienced with simchas are used to fitting their sets around courses, speeches and the chair lift. They'll agree a running order with you and your caterer or planner in advance.

For weekend weddings and bar mitzvahs, a year or more ahead is common, as the most popular bands book up early. For other dates, a few months' notice is often enough.

“The band played a great set - the dancefloor was completely full at all times, and everyone had such a good time. We had a few enthusiastic guests who were very keen to join the band (!) and they were very good about this. A fantastic experience on the night. Thank you!”

“The Sherlocks performed at our wedding and they were super - from all the pre correspondence to the performance on the night. We have had nothing but positive feedback from our guests who loved the traditional wedding music combined with a few of our favourite Irish songs. They certainly got the room up singing and dancing! Thanks again to Alastair and the rest of the group”

“Hi Barrie Happy New Year. I just wanted to thank you and more importantly Monte Carlo for suck a great night! You guys were the BEST!”

“We have had Garden Party perform at a number of family gatherings over the years and they consistently deliver to a superb level. They are exceptional performers, play great songs and really know how to get the crowd going. Separately, I found them easy to communicate with, polite, and were able to get set up in less than 45 mins which was really appreciated on the night! Libbi and the team at Hireaband were easy to work with throughout the entire booking process.”

“Mitzvah Tanz band and dance caller was an absolutely brilliant opening to our wedding party. They got nearly everyone on their feet twirling round the room and everyone else clapping and stamping their feet. It really helped build a feeling of community and warmth that lasted the whole night. I would highly recommend Mitzvah Tanz they were easy to work with, accommodating, reliable and great fun to have around. If you want accessible Klezmer with a modern twist Mitzvah Tanz are for you!'”

“The band were brilliant, a great laugh and were willing to go with the mood. It was also great music when we weren't dancing just really relaxing to listen to great musicians whilst enjoying the wedding. Thanks gents!”
