The band’s own fee, with no markup
You pay exactly what the band charges. We never add a markup, so booking through us costs the same as booking direct, but with a written contract, a team and back-up behind you.
Your money protected
If you change your mind within 14 days of paying your reservation fee, you’ll get a full refund. Your balance is held securely and only released to the band once they’ve checked in at your wedding.

What makes a great Scottish wedding band
A Scottish wedding night has its own vibe, and the right band knows it. This is what we look for when we recommend an act.
A proper Scottish night: 8pm to midnight
In Scotland, wedding bands are usually booked from 8pm to midnight, with a 30-minute break while the buffet is served and a playlist keeps things going. In England and Wales, two one-hour sets are more common, which is one reason to book through a team that arranges Scottish weddings every week.
A few ceilidh dances, done well
Most good Scottish wedding bands slip a few ceilidh dances into their set, and a Gay Gordons is still the quickest way to get every generation up. If you want an extended ceilidh, check first: some bands bring in extra musicians at extra cost, and the few acts that do pop and ceilidh equally well book up early. Venues with sound limiters
Many Scottish venues, especially historic houses and hotels with close neighbours, use sound limiters that cut power to the stage if the volume goes too high. Tell us your venue and we’ll suggest bands that work well within its limits. Our guide to sound limiters → /sound-limiters/ explains more.
The right size of band for the room
Bigger bands cost more and need more space, and if the band sets up on the dance floor, there’s less room to dance. We’ve supplied most of Scotland’s popular wedding venues and can tell you what actually fits.
Fully live or semi-live
Fully live bands play everything on stage, usually with four or five musicians. Semi-live acts, including most duos, use some backing tracks, which makes them quicker to set up, lighter on space and usually less expensive. Either can pack a dance floor: it comes down to budget, space and taste.
A band that reads the room
No event has a more varied crowd than a wedding, with guests from 8 to 80. The best bands change direction the moment a song isn’t working. Tell them your favourites and your first dance, then trust them with the rest.
