Email addresses
At hireaband we respect the privacy of personal information. We will not send you unwanted e-mail messages or junk mail, and your details will not be passed to ANY organisation beyond hireaband without your explicit permission.
However, we will use e-mail to send you messages about outstanding orders, faults and service issues. We may also use e-mail to keep you up to date with news about our services, as well as anything you show an interest in, either online, or through other contact with us. If you do not want to be kept informed in this way by e-mail, please let us know.
Disclosure of information
Hireaband complies with data protection laws in the United Kingdom and takes all reasonable care to prevent any unauthorised access to your personal data.
Hireaband employees and those working for agents or contractors of hireaband have a responsibility to keep your information confidential and will only use it in the provision of services on behalf of hireaband.
The personal details that we use to provide or promote our products and services (for example your name, telephone number, or email address), as well as any information taken from you while you are using this web site, will NOT be passed to ANY organisation beyond hireaband.co.uk to be used for marketing purposes. Your details may sometimes be shared with hireaband.co.uk contractors or agents in order to provide you with products and services you have requested.
YouTube videos and YouTube API Services
hireaband uses YouTube API Services to upload performance videos of the bands and acts we represent to our own YouTube channel (Hireaband). This is done by an internal tool, "Hireaband video uploads", operated by The Hireaband Network Limited (which runs hireaband in England and Wales), which only hireaband staff use, on our own office computer, with our own YouTube channel. It is not offered to the public and visitors to this website never sign in to it.
By using this tool, users agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. YouTube is owned by Google, and the Google Privacy Policy applies to YouTube: http://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
What the tool accesses and stores
- Permission to upload videos to the hireaband YouTube channel and to manage them (set each video's title, description and visibility), and to read the channel's name and its videos' details (so it only ever works on the right channel, and new titles don't repeat old ones).
- A sign-in token for our channel, stored encrypted on our office computer only.
- The YouTube video ID of each video it uploads, kept in our internal band system so we can show the video on the band's page.
The tool does not access, collect or store any information about visitors to this website, our clients or other YouTube users, and nothing it handles is shared with or sold to anyone else. It does not place cookies on your device.
Videos on our website
Band and act pages show videos from YouTube using YouTube's embedded player. When you play an embedded video, YouTube may set cookies or similar technology on your device and collect information as described in the Google Privacy Policy above. hireaband does not receive that information.
Revoking access and deleting data
Access to a YouTube account given to this tool can be removed at any time from the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. When access is removed, or on request, we delete the stored sign-in token from our computer within 7 days. Video IDs are kept only while the video is shown on our website and are deleted when the video is removed.
