Jewish Wedding & Event Bands in Hertfordshire

Book a band for a Jewish wedding or simcha in Hertfordshire

Simchas have their own rhythm, from the entrance of the couple and the chair lift to the Hava Nagila set and the late-night party. Across Hertfordshire, the bands on this page are experienced with Jewish weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs and anniversary celebrations, and they plan every moment with you in advance.

Hertfordshire has a wide choice of event venues, from Fanhams Hall Hotel and Tewinbury to Micklefield Hall. Our bands travel right across the area, including Hertford, Stevenage and Watford, and many work regularly with kosher caterers and event planners.

Within this category you'll find showbands, klezmer bands and party bands experienced with Jewish celebrations. Many offer ceremony and reception music as well as the evening band, and their song lists show exactly which Jewish and Israeli songs they cover.

Hireaband has been booking live music since 1999. Every Jewish event band here travels to Hertfordshire as standard, brings the equipment it needs, and the quote you receive includes travel. Use the instant quote button on this page to check prices and availability for your date.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: from around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband, depending on line-up, date and set times
  • Hora and Israeli dance sets, klezmer and a full party set
  • Ceremony, reception and evening music available
  • Travel is included in every quote
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Check the room and any sound limiter before you choose. Large showbands need a good-sized stage area, power and floor space, and the hora needs room for a big circle, so share the floor plan with the band early on.

Most Jewish wedding and bar mitzvah bookings fall between about £1,500 and £4,000. The number of musicians is the biggest factor, followed by the date, the length of the evening and extras such as ceremony music. Travel is included in the quote, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay.

Each band's page carries real video, audio, a song list and reviews from previous clients. A couple of clips will tell you far more about how a band works a room than any description can.

The instant quote button gives you a price and availability for your date straight away. From there, we manage the contract and deposit and keep you updated until the event. Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and there's an emergency contact line on the day in case anything needs sorting.

FAQs

Yes. Every band in this category plays a hora and Israeli dance set, including Hava Nagila and other favourites, and will agree the songs and timing with you before the day.

Many can. Some bands offer an acoustic or klezmer set for the ceremony or drinks reception before the main evening set. Mention it when you enquire and we'll include it in the quote.

Yes. Bands bring their own PA and lighting. Larger showbands need a good-sized stage area and power nearby, so it's worth checking both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband. The number of musicians, the date and the length of the evening make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

Yes. Bands experienced with simchas are used to fitting their sets around courses, speeches and the chair lift. They'll agree a running order with you and your caterer or planner in advance.

For weekend weddings and bar mitzvahs, a year or more ahead is common, as the most popular bands book up early. For other dates, a few months' notice is often enough.

“Saw Domino on Saturday and have to say I'd recommend them to anyone! Talented musicians, stunning vocals, professional set up and their love of music is definitely infectious. They had people up dancing from beginning to end and couldn't leave the stage as everyone kept asking for more. Had a brilliant night and can't wait for the next gig. Not to be missed!”
