The Sherlocks

The Sherlocks performed at our wedding and they were super - from all the pre correspondence to the performance on the night. We have had nothing but positive feedback from our guests who loved the traditional wedding music combined with a few of our favourite Irish songs. They certainly got the room up singing and dancing!

We just wanted to say thank you SO much for playing at our wedding on Saturday. You guys were awesome and everybody has been commenting on how great you were! Thank you so much for answering all of our questions in the lead up, particularly in relation to first dance/last dance stuff! And thank you for being so flexible when our speech/end of dinner timings went awry! You were so great eith the first dance and the archway at the end too so thank you! We had so much fun and you guys kept the dancefloor full throughout!

What an awesome night! We had such a great party and you guys were instrumental in making it so. Everyone loved your music and commented on how brilliant your performance was, including some ‘neighbours’ several roads away!! We’d said to our near neighbours that they were welcome to enjoy the music in their gardens and we ended up having 1 who came over and commented that he had to come to see you guys in person because he was enjoying the tunes so much! Can’t say fairer than that.

I wanted to say a special and heartfelt ‘Thank you’ to you and the members of your band for providing a wonderful centre-piece for my special birthday celebration. You were all great and added to the fun and joy of the party. I thought you were excellent at everything you played and, most importantly, very easy to dance to!

We just wanted to say a massive thank you for your great performance at our wedding. It wouldnt have been the celebration it was without you and your amazing band members. All of our guests have said what a brilliant time they had and would recommend you to other people for future parties and events.
We feel sad that it is all over but will keep an eye out at places you’re performing at in the future.

A quick note to you and the rest of the band who came last Saturday to Putney for our 40th Birthday. We and the rest of our friends and family had a fantastic time and you kept the room dancing throughout the night. Hopefully you’ll be available for our 50th ! Thank you so much for making our wedding day so fantastic! The music was perfect! We have had so much feedback from our guests about how great you were! The dance floor was full from the moment the first dance ended to the last song of the night! People have told us they have never danced so much at a wedding before! The mix of music you played picked up the vibe of the room brilliantly and the dj set you played in between sets worked really well for our Hora Loca! Thanks for being accommodating mixing in all the different music types, particularly the South American!
We also loved discovering your blog from our wedding and watching the snippet video of our entrance!
We hope you have a great Christmas and we look forward to hopefully seeing you at a future event or two!

We just wanted to pass on our thanks for the incredible performance you gave at our wedding on Saturday. From the first song (amazing – do you have a recording of this?) to the last, you helped us throw the party of our lives and believe me when I say EVERYONE has been talking about how awesome the music was. We’ll certainly be recommending you to one and all for any future events. Hopefully, once we manage to recover financially from the wedding (ha!), we can have you and the guys play at another event in the future for us.

What can we say other than a HUGE thank you for Saturday evening. The Queen classic is a big favourite of Dave’s, so it was great to have that as our first dance. We had the best time ever! We have a video of our last dance and I can’t believe how many people are on the dance floor. So many people commented on how fantastic you were.

Thank you also for your patience with drunken guests…I imagine people backing into you gets pretty tiring quite quickly!
…Hopefully see you at another event soon. If not then I already have you in mind for Dave’s 40th in a few years time

Not sure where to start – you guys were amazing!! Just incredibly happy with everything from start to finish. We felt truly blessed to have you there for our special day and you guys were simply perfect. The first dance was exactly what we wanted if not better than the version we sent you….the fiddler during the reception was exactly the atmosphere we wanted.

And the music all night – well you saw the dance floor, ALL night!!! It felt like having friends there playing for us so a HUGE thank you. Please send on our thanks to everyone. Cannot wait to see you again soon….

Mark and I just wanted to send you a quick email to say a huge thank you for everything on Saturday.
We had the most incredible day, and as I am sure you could tell, were big fans of the music! You guys are really excellent and everyone has commented on how fantastic you were, so a huge thank you. At several points I think our entire wedding was on the dance floor, which is exactly what we had hoped for!Thank you for helping us to throw a great party, which there is no doubt everyone enjoyed.

Well what can I say…apart from the most incredibly massive thank you for being so bloody fantastic at our wedding. Bearing in mind I had booked the wedding around your availability I knew you would be outstanding and you all went over and beyond my expectations. The amount of people that have commented on the fabulous band and the fact that there was NO ONE sitting down at any point once you guys started. The dance floor was always full and there was a proper party happening in our tent. I really couldn’t have hoped or asked for any more than you gave and a huge thank you for giving in to the encore. A separate thank you is for allowing Matt and his friends to use your instruments. It was a complete surprise to me – incredible (even though I often tell Matt that he can’t sing…that clearly didn’t stop him) it was incredible.
