Boulevard are a Scotland-based 4-piece wedding and events band fronted by Jeremy Levif — a French singer-songwriter and semi-finalist on Team will.i.am in The Voice UK 2021, who later reached the final of The Voice France in 2023. The band deliver a five-star, professional performance every time, with musicians well known and respected across the Scottish live music scene.

Jeremy and the rest of the band were amazing! From the first communication until the end of the evening nothing was too much hassle. All our guests were blown away by their performance. And to top it off the ceilidh had the dance floor full, some guests had never heard a ceilidh before but got up to give it a bash as it was too good to miss! Would recommend 1000% to any couple unsure who to have for their live entertainment! 💕 wish we could relive our evening again!

What a fabulous evening we had being entertained by Jeremy and the guys from Boulevard. From start to finish the engagement from Jeremy was first class. The whole process was great. The live showcase we attended was the perfect way to hear different bands and get a feel for what we wanted. Although the band we booked on that night pulled out you were excellent and ensuring we were able to find an alternative quickly and Boulevard proved to be a great choice.
Jeremy was a joy to work with throughout the entire process. His communication was second to none, and he made everything feel easy and stress-free from the planning stages right through to the wedding day itself.
We received so many compliments afterwards about how brilliant the band were, and it's easy to see why. They played a huge part in making our wedding celebration so memorable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Boulevard to anyone looking for a talented, professional band that will keep guests entertained all night long.

FAQs

Who is the singer with Boulevard?

Our frontman is Jeremy Levif, a French singer-songwriter who reached the semi-finals of The Voice UK in 2021 as part of Team will.i.am, and went on to reach the final of The Voice France in 2023. He now lives and performs in Scotland, and he is backed by musicians who are well known and respected across the Scottish live music scene. You can hear him on the videos and audio on our profile page.

Do you really play the bagpipes?

We do, and Jeremy plays them himself. A Frenchman playing the pipes at a Scottish wedding takes most guests by surprise, and it always gets a reaction. The pipes come out for our ceilidh set, so your guests get something a bit different from the usual wedding band. If you would like the pipes at a particular moment in the evening, just let us know in advance.

Do you play a ceilidh, and how long is it?

Yes, and it is included rather than an add-on. Our ceilidh set runs for around 30 minutes and covers the Gay Gordons, the Canadian Barn Dance, the Dashing White Sergeant and Strip the Willow. We call the dances as we go, so guests who have never done a ceilidh in their lives can get up and give it a go. Couples often tell us this was the fullest the dance floor was all night.

Do you provide all your own equipment?

Yes. We bring our own PA system and stage lighting. All we need from you is a clear area in which to set up and a power supply.

Will you be able to do my first dance?

Given enough notice, yes. It takes a while for us to rehearse a song to the high standards that we set ourselves. If you can give us at least 8 weeks' notice, that should be fine. The song also has to be suitable for a band. If we can't do it justice, then we can play the original track through our PA and go seamlessly into our set at the end of it.

Can we choose our own setlist?

Up to a point. Our set list runs to more than 130 songs covering the 1960s right through to the 2020s, from Elvis, ABBA and Fleetwood Mac to Sabrina Carpenter, Noah Kahan and Myles Smith, so there is plenty to choose from. We have a core set of crowd-pleasers that we know works brilliantly, but we are always happy to tweak it based on your taste. Send us a few must plays and a few please avoids and we will build the night around them. Learning brand new songs from scratch, aside from your first dance, depends on notice.

How many songs will the band learn especially for me?

We're happy to learn your first dance or a special request. Other songs depend on the time frame given and what the songs are. We're always keen to learn new things, so do let us know and we'll try to accommodate as best we can for you. However, we don't guarantee anything other than your first dance or a single special request.

What do you wear?

We tend to be smart casual, as in our pictures and videos. However, we can be smarter or more casual depending on your event and requirements.

Are you insured and PAT tested?

Yes to both. We carry full public liability insurance, and all our equipment is PAT tested annually. Our manager will send your venue any certification that's required.

Can you work with sound limiters?

Yes. We don't love them, but we absolutely can work within them. Let us know at the booking stage if your venue has one, so there are no surprises on the night.

How loud will you be?

Volume is at your discretion. Bear in mind that to get a good atmosphere a reasonable level of volume is required, but we don't like it too loud any more than you do.

Can my cousin Dave join you for a song?

Sounds like fun! Let's do it. As long as we know in advance and he's not under the influence on the night.

What happens if one of the band is ill on the day of my event?

We have a network of fellow musicians that we can call on to stand in on the rare occasion one of the band is ill. On top of that, we're represented by Scotland's favourite entertainment agency, who have access to dozens of wedding bands in your area even at the very last minute. However, we've never missed a gig yet.

Our original band has pulled out. Can you step in?

Very possibly, and it's always worth asking. One couple booked us after the band they chose at a Hireaband showcase pulled out, and they told us afterwards that we proved to be a great choice. If you find yourself in that position, call Gaye or Lisa on 0141 413 4060 and they will check our availability straight away.

How much do you charge?

You can get an instant quote by clicking the button at the top right-hand side of our profile page. You'll see your fee appear right there on screen, and you'll also get a follow-up email to confirm the price. If we're available and you're happy with the price, get back in touch with the team at Hireaband to secure the date. It's very much first come, first served, so if we're available, don't hesitate.

Will I save money by booking you direct?

No. We don't allow Hireaband to charge more than we would charge you direct. We pay them a commission to do our marketing and admin, provide our videos, audio and photos, provide our insurance and keep our profile up to date. We pay for that, not you. All you'll pay in addition to our fee is a small support fee which never exceeds £50. That provides you with an emergency contact number, industry standard contracts and, if required, payment processing.

How long do you perform for?

As standard, we play between 8pm and midnight with a half hour break. We can play past midnight, but it will incur an additional fee. We are flexible though and will always try to accommodate your requirements. When you book us, you get us for the whole night, so we can't offer a discount for a shorter performance time.

Can you arrive earlier and finish later?

Our standard on-site time runs from 7pm (to set up our equipment) to midnight, but we're happy to be flexible around your schedule. Whether you need us there earlier for an afternoon slot or performing later into the night, just let us know your requirements and we'll do our best to accommodate. Additional fees may apply for extended hours.

How long do you take to set up?

We need an hour minimum to set up and check everything is working, but if it needs to be shorter, just let us know and we'll always accommodate as best we can.

Do you take breaks, and what happens to the music then?

Yes, we'll take a short break between sets to grab a drink, catch our breath and go to the loo. During the break we'll have background music playing through our own PA system, so there's never a dead moment on the dance floor. Just let us know if you have a particular playlist or Spotify account you'd like us to use.

Will the band provide a DJ service?

Yes, as standard we provide a playlist DJ service during our break. These are tried and tested playlists that we've refined over countless events, but you're welcome to send us your own playlist to play instead. If you'd like a bit more than that, ask us about upgrading to a manned DJ service, where a band member or a professional DJ stays on hand throughout to look after the music and take requests on the night. Please note there is an additional charge for the manned DJ service.

Do you offer any optional extras?

Yes. On top of our standard package we can offer early arrival, a late finish after midnight, and daytime entertainment, including a daytime acoustic solo performance for your ceremony, drinks reception or photographs. Just let us know what you have in mind and we'll see what we can put together for your day.

Do you need parking or a changing area?

Ideally yes to both, but we're used to making do. A small room or space where we can get changed and leave our belongings is really helpful, and parking close to the venue makes load-in and load-out much quicker, especially if we're carrying gear a fair distance. If parking is tricky, just give us a heads up in advance and we'll plan around it.

Will we need to feed you?

It depends on timings, but generally some hot food would be hugely appreciated if we're performing at a corporate event. If you're booking us for a wedding, then the option to have something from the buffet is greatly appreciated.

How much space does the band need?

We're a four-piece, so we fit comfortably into most spaces that have hosted a live band before. We've played everywhere from castles and country house hotels to barns, racecourses and city centre venues. If your venue has anything a little unusual about it, we can usually find a way to make it work, so just get in touch if you're not sure and we'll be happy to advise.

Can you perform outdoors or in a marquee?

We love an outdoor gig. We'll just need a covered, dry area for us and our equipment, as electrics and rain don't mix, plus access to a safe power supply. If it's a marquee, flooring or decking under the performance area makes a big difference too. We'll always chat through the setup with you beforehand so there are no surprises on the day.

How far will you travel?

We regularly perform all over the country, so distance really is no object. We've played from Ayrshire and Dumfries up through Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perthshire and out to Arran. The cost of travel is included in most of our quotes, but for really long distances, or events on islands, we may need to make an additional charge and may need bed and breakfast arranged for us.

Do you play corporate events and fundraisers as well as weddings?

Yes, and we're regularly booked for both. We've played charity fundraisers including a Ronald McDonald House Charities event for over 300 guests at the Glasgow Marriott and the Purple Ball at the Radisson Blu, as well as corporate nights such as Prestwick Aerosystems at Ayr Racecourse. We're happy to work around speeches, dinner service and award presentations, so just send us your running order.

How much contact will we have with the band before the big day?

Hireaband will put you in direct touch with us around two months before your date, so we can go through all the finer details together, including song choices, timings and any special requests. Jeremy looks after this himself, and couples regularly tell us his communication made the whole thing feel easy and stress-free. In the meantime, the team at Hireaband are always on hand to answer any questions, so you're never left waiting.

What if any timings change after booking you?

No problem at all. We know that timings and details aren't always set in stone at the booking stage, and plans have a habit of evolving as your big day gets closer. We're happy to be flexible around changes to your schedule, and if you decide further down the line that you'd like to add any extra services, just get in touch with Gaye or Lisa at Hireaband and they'll sort it out for you.

What should we expect if we've never booked a live band before?

Totally understandable if this all feels a bit new. Booking a band is a big part of your day, so we're here to make it as straightforward as possible. Boulevard have performed at countless weddings and events, and the team at Hireaband will guide you through every step, from your initial enquiry right through to the big day itself. If you're ever unsure about anything, just ask. That's what we're here for.

How far in advance should we book?

As soon as you know your date, really. Popular dates, especially summer weekends, can book up 12 months or more ahead, but we've also pulled off cracking gigs with just a few weeks' notice if we're free. The earlier you lock it in, the more choice you'll have.

What's your payment and cancellation policy?

We ask for a reservation fee to secure your date, refundable within 14 days if you change your mind, with the remaining balance due one month before the event. Your booking confirmation will have exact dates and amounts. If you need to cancel or postpone, get in touch as early as possible. The closer to the date, the harder it is for us to fill the slot, so our cancellation terms reflect that. Full details are in your booking agreement, but Gaye or Lisa at Hireaband are always happy to talk through the specifics.

Can we see you perform live before booking?

We don't always have public gigs to invite you to, as weddings tend to be private, but we've got plenty of video and audio from real events on our profile page, plus we're always happy to jump on a call and talk you through what to expect. If we do have a public performance or a Hireaband showcase coming up, we'll gladly send details your way. We also rehearse regularly and would be happy to invite you along to hear us and have a chat.
