Slam Dunk

We booked to have 'Slam Dunk' at our wedding and they were absolutely incredible. The set list was spot on, they were able to take requests on the night and absolutely smash then. Everybody absolutely raved about the band and the dance floor wasn't empty for the whole time they were playing.
A special thank you to the singer Doug, who was able to learn our first dance song especially for the day.

Slamdunk were exceptional at our wedding! Doug, Aidan and Micah were easy to arrange with, and super friendly on the day. They successfully called several ceilidh dances for us and then played their staple pop-punk/rock anthems - these were incredible and all of our guests had a fantastic time dancing the night away! Highly recommend this band for a great event.

We are back from our Honeymoon and I just wanted to email to leave a review for the band as they were fantastic.
They were so upbeat and lively and played amazing music. Everyone loved them and had a great time, the dance floor was never empty! I also loved that they did a half hour ceilidh slot for us as that was so much fun. Doug and the boys also didn't know our first dance song when we first requested it but they learnt it for us and were amazing at performing it and we are so grateful that they did that. Doug also did a solo acoustic set for our drinks reception which was brilliant and everyone really enjoyed having something to watch and listen to during that time. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend them for everyone.

We cannot recommend Slam Dunk enough. We booked them for our wedding and they exceeded our expectations! I sent them a few requests beforehand and they done them all no problem, and even helped with a ceilidh section which we all loved. The dance floor was full the whole night and we’ve had so many guests comment on how amazing they were!

Slam Dunk were incredible. The lads were so lovely, happily took requests from our guests, played a specific request for our first dance and met the vibe of the group. Genuinely had people saying “the band are too good, I need a break I’m dying from dancing”. Couldn’t have asked for better!

Slam Dunk were absolutely brilliant at our wedding! So many guests asked who they were for future events. Couldn't reccomend them enough!

Band were great. Guests loved them. First dance song was perfect blend of the original and the bands own style. Worked out really well. Learned an additional song for us that has significant emotional meaning to our family so was really appreciative of that as well. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Slam Dunk are the best wedding band ever!! They had the dance floor full all night long. They sounded amazing and played to our tastes. All of our guests were commenting on how great they were on the night, and are still messaging about them days later. The guys were also so friendly and down to earth. Can’t recommend enough. Doug and the guys from Slam Dunk were unbelievable from start to finish! To start, we sent them through our preferences for the playlist prior to the day which they were absolutely fine with. On the day they showed up bang on time and were quick in getting their stuff set up. Just before our first dance, the guys put on Fireball by Pitbull to get the crowd jumping - one of our highlights was watching the crowd through the door at this point!
The lads sounded spot on, and went the extra mile playing requests. Could not recommend them more. Perfect for our day.

Me and my now husband bonded over rock and pop punk music so we knew we didn’t want a super traditional wedding band and the boys honestly exceeded all expectations! they were willing to learn and play anything we wanted which kept all the guests on the dance floor and we’re still getting compliments on the band we chose! honestly couldn’t recommend them enough.

Could not recommend Slam Dunk enough, everyone at our wedding commented on how good they were, and that they were the best wedding band people had ever heard. They were so accommodating with requests and nailed every one of them. The boys were so lovely and polite, I got a big hug off Doug when they arrived, felt like welcoming a friend to the wedding. We were in safe hands, we had a busy dancefloor and we can hands down say that we picked the right band!! Amazing

We hired Slam Dunk for our wedding and gave them free rein over what they played as we thought their playlist was amazing as it was!
Doug and the boys exceeded our expectations - they were just amazing!! All the guests were commenting that they were the best band they’d ever heard at a wedding!!
They got everyone dancing and took so many requests and played them flawlessly!
We had a ceilidh section which they got up and demonstrated and joined in the fun! It was just amazing!!

Doug, Gary and Aiden were on time and exceptionally polite and accommodating. They arrived to a very busy venue and just got on with setting up. The songs they played lent themselves well to the guests at my 50th and everyone loved them. We asked them to stop playing a couple of times for the birthday speech and for the food/buffet and they were very patient and didn't seem to mind. Slam Dunk looked great, they sounded great and they got involved in a bit of Cha Cha which is brilliant. Thank you to everyone who made my birthday party a very memorable one.

Slam dunk were absolutely sensational!!!!
They came over and absolutely ROCKED the Isle of Arran! The boys learnt our first dance song, sent us a preview and NAILED the performance with absolute class. We could not be happier.
They kept the dance floor full all night long with bangers after banger mixed in with some Scottish classics. Everyone was exhausted at the end of the night, dripping in sweat with huge smiles on their faces.
I cannot recommend these guys enough, and on top of it all they were all lovely guys!

Slam Dunk Were Awesome!!! our dancefloor was never empty and there music choice was amazing!! would definitely hire them again for any events that require a band! they were Lovely! gaye who helped organise them too via the website was very helpfull and made thw whole process smooth sailing one less stress to worry about when organising a wedding! all our guests told us the next day how good the band was! fantastic entertainers and if u need a good selection of music and a busy dancefloor for your wedding this band is worth every penny x

Slam Dunk were phenomenal from start to finish.
We had Doug from 1pm ceremony with his guitar right through the drinks reception & then built up to the full 3 piece band in the evening & the guys did such an amazing job at setting the tone for the whole day. I got so many compliments on the band especially the song choices at the drinks reception!

I couldn't recommend Slam Dunk more if you want rock, emo, alt, pop punk but also all your traditional family wedding tunes as well as some ceilidh thrown in - they covered it all and done it all extremely well (even sang some of our weird requests for specific songs throughout the day)

Doug, Gary and Aidan are extremely talented musicians and absolute gentlemen to boot! A joy to deal with on the run up to our wedding and absolutely brilliant on the day! With music being such a key thing to both of us and our day, it was important we had a band who were equally passionate about music and also shared such similar music tastes! The range of what Slam Dunk can play is nothing short of incredible. Their ability to take requests and play anything on the spot made for the perfect party, but also as big music fans and musicians ourselves, is extremely impressive to witness!
From having a casual, yet in depth conversation about music with Doug prior to our wedding, he clearly got a feel for what we like and proceeded to put together the perfect playlist for evening reception. We requested a handful of songs that we particularly wanted the band to play, but we had absolute trust in the band to play the types of music we liked, and to read the room for what was working. Our dancefloor was full all night!! 'Only Floor Fillers Allowed' - Absolutely!!
We also had Doug play an acoustic set during the day, playing during our ceremony and our drinks reception, which made for seamless and effortless entertainment throughout the day! He is also incredible solo!!

Doug and the lads in Slam Dunk were unbelievable in every aspect. Originally we had asked them to play until only 9:30pm as some of our guests were DJ’s and we planned for them to take over. However, we didn’t even manage to have the first dance until 9:30pm. The guys were totally chilled out about it and ended up playing to after midnight. From the second they started until they stopped, the dance floor was full. Everyone commented on how brilliant they were. After they had finished and packed up, they stayed to have a few drinks with us and listen to the DJ’s. It was a real nice personal touch as they stayed to get a chat and a laugh rather than just rushing off once their job was done. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Amazing from start to finish! Loved every minute.The dance floor was never empty, the music was great, our first dance was pretty special, the band themselves were lovely guys. Guests raved about how good the band were and played/took requests! Everything we could have hoped for! 11/10! Thanks for a night to remember.

Just wanted to say thank you so much making our wedding truly incredible. The guests were raving about the band and we loved it! So many compliments about how fun a night you all made things for us.
What a great night, it just went by in a flash, the whole day did in truth but we had an amazing time and just wanted to say thank you. Your version of coldplay was brilliant. The song we loved and meant a lot to us but totally different in the same way made me even more emotional than I already had been 😂 so glad we could have Loch Lomond too! 10/10!!!

I wanted to just say thanks for finding Slam Dunk for us. Bobby and I were so happy with them. Couldn't fault a thing. They got family members dancing that never dance at weddings. Really nice guys as well. So glad we booked them.

Where do we start? Slam Dunk were sensational at our wedding. We didn't want the night to stop we were having so much fun. Brilliant band. Played something for everyone. They created a brilliant atmosphere and were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and they played every request we made. Absolutely fantastic.
