Jewish Wedding & Event Bands in Nottinghamshire

Hire a Jewish event band in Nottinghamshire

Simchas have their own rhythm, from the entrance of the couple and the chair lift to the Hava Nagila set and the late-night party. Across Nottinghamshire, the bands on this page are experienced with Jewish weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs and anniversary celebrations, and they plan every moment with you in advance.

Across Nottinghamshire, Jewish event bands are booked for simchas in and around Mansfield, Nottingham and Worksop. Venues in the area include Inkersall Grange Farm, Hazel Gap Barn and Norwood Park, all with space for a big dance floor and a full band.

Jewish event bands vary in size and style. Some are large showbands with singers and a horn section, some specialise in klezmer and traditional music, and many combine a hora and Israeli dance set with pop, soul and disco. Watching a couple of videos is the quickest way to find the right fit.

Since 1999, Hireaband has matched live bands with events of every size. The bands listed here all travel to Nottinghamshire, include travel in the price, and arrive with their own sound set-up where it's needed. The instant quote button shows pricing and availability for your date in seconds.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: from around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband, depending on line-up, date and set times
  • Hora and Israeli dance sets, klezmer and a full party set
  • Ceremony, reception and evening music available
  • Travel is included in every quote
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Most couples and families have the hora after the first course or at the start of the dancing, with a chair lift and an Israeli medley. The band will agree the timings, the songs and any special requests with you beforehand, so the big moments land exactly when you want them.

Most Jewish wedding and bar mitzvah bookings fall between about £1,500 and £4,000. The number of musicians is the biggest factor, followed by the date, the length of the evening and extras such as ceremony music. Travel is included in the quote, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay.

Each band's page carries real video, audio, a song list and reviews from previous clients. A couple of clips will tell you far more about how a band works a room than any description can.

Use the instant quote button on this page to see prices and availability for your date. Once you've chosen an act, we handle the contract, the deposit and the arrangements, and stay in touch through to the day. Every booking includes a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and an emergency contact line is available on the day if anything needs sorting quickly.

Many can. Some bands offer an acoustic or klezmer set for the ceremony or drinks reception before the main evening set. Mention it when you enquire and we'll include it in the quote.

Yes. Bands bring their own PA and lighting. Larger showbands need a good-sized stage area and power nearby, so it's worth checking both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband. The number of musicians, the date and the length of the evening make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

Yes. Bands experienced with simchas are used to fitting their sets around courses, speeches and the chair lift. They'll agree a running order with you and your caterer or planner in advance.

For weekend weddings and bar mitzvahs, a year or more ahead is common, as the most popular bands book up early. For other dates, a few months' notice is often enough.

“Wow! Garden Party were absolutely fabulous. They were, quite literally, the life and soul of the party. They arrived bang on time, were polite and helpful, and were very accomplished musicians. So accomplished, in fact, that one of the organisers mistook their warm-up track for a CD recording! Since the ball finished, I've had nothing but compliments about the band. Everyone loved them, and they really did make the evening. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We'll be booking them again!”

“If you want a fun, inventive and, above all, fantastically entertaining band for your wedding, you can do no better than City Boys. Their upbeat and clever interpretations of modern and classic pop hits are guaranteed to get your guests dancing long into the night. They were simply fantastic. So much energy and humour. And a truly perfect set list. Our guests absolutely loved them to bits. They were the perfect band for our wedding, we were so pleased that we chose them.”

“Well presented and polite to everyone I saw them interacting with. They rang before the event to introduce themselves and discuss requirements. they were friendly and accommodating. They are very entertaining and we received no end of compliments on them from our various guests. I think they were worth the money.”

“What can we say other than a HUGE thank you for Saturday evening. The Queen classic is a big favourite of Dave’s, so it was great to have that as our first dance. We had the best time ever! We have a video of our last dance and I can’t believe how many people are on the dance floor. So many people commented on how fantastic you were. Thank you also for your patience with drunken guests…I imagine people backing into you gets pretty tiring quite quickly! …Hopefully see you at another event soon. If not then I already have you in mind for Dave’s 40th in a few years time”

“We had a brilliant day. The guys were fantastic, arrived with plenty of time to set up and were ready to go straight after our first song. The setlist was excellent, something for everybody and it kept all ages dancing for pretty much the entire time you played. We loved our second 'first' dance when they got everyone to circle us and played a brilliant rendition of Fleetwood Mac's Everywhere, and also appreciated extending the last song so the bride and mother of the bride could have a dance. We had several compliments from our guests saying how great the guys were. Really appreciate it, thanks!”
