Jewish Wedding & Event Bands in Derbyshire

Live bands for Jewish weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs in Derbyshire

Simchas have their own rhythm, from the entrance of the couple and the chair lift to the Hava Nagila set and the late-night party. Across Derbyshire, the bands on this page are experienced with Jewish weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs and anniversary celebrations, and they plan every moment with you in advance.

Popular event venues in Derbyshire include Shottle Hall, Thornbridge Hall and Callow Hall, and our Jewish event bands play celebrations across Buxton, Matlock and Derby. Tell us your venue and running order when you enquire and we'll suggest acts that suit both.

Within this category you'll find showbands, klezmer bands and party bands experienced with Jewish celebrations. Many offer ceremony and reception music as well as the evening band, and their song lists show exactly which Jewish and Israeli songs they cover.

Since 1999, Hireaband has matched live bands with events of every size. The bands listed here all travel to Derbyshire, include travel in the price, and arrive with their own sound set-up where it's needed. The instant quote button shows pricing and availability for your date in seconds.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: from around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband, depending on line-up, date and set times
  • Hora and Israeli dance sets, klezmer and a full party set
  • Ceremony, reception and evening music available
  • Travel is included in every quote
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Start with the size of the celebration and the running order. A large wedding or bar mitzvah suits a showband with several singers and a horn section; a smaller simcha suits a five or six-piece. Tell us when you want the hora and any other key moments, and we'll match you with a band that plans around them.

Expect to pay from around £1,500 for a smaller band up to £4,000 or more for a large showband. Line-up size matters most, then the date and extras such as a klezmer set or reception music. Every quote includes travel, so nothing is added later.

Each band's page carries real video, audio, a song list and reviews from previous clients. A couple of clips will tell you far more about how a band works a room than any description can.

Enter your date and venue in the instant quote button for live pricing and availability. After you book, we look after the contract, deposit and details, and keep in touch right up to the event. You also get a 14-day change-of-mind refund and an emergency contact number to use on the day.

FAQs

Yes. Every band in this category plays a hora and Israeli dance set, including Hava Nagila and other favourites, and will agree the songs and timing with you before the day.

Many can. Some bands offer an acoustic or klezmer set for the ceremony or drinks reception before the main evening set. Mention it when you enquire and we'll include it in the quote.

Yes. Bands bring their own PA and lighting. Larger showbands need a good-sized stage area and power nearby, so it's worth checking both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband. The number of musicians, the date and the length of the evening make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

Yes. Bands experienced with simchas are used to fitting their sets around courses, speeches and the chair lift. They'll agree a running order with you and your caterer or planner in advance.

For weekend weddings and bar mitzvahs, a year or more ahead is common, as the most popular bands book up early. For other dates, a few months' notice is often enough.

“Fantastic Band - thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The only thing that would have topped the night is if they could have played longer but they were in high demand and off to another party. Thanks to Adam and the rest of Garden Party for a brilliant evening.”

“Just want to say a massive thank you for all you did to make our wedding day extra special. The professionalism of you and the band where amazing from start to finish. We had looked at a few wedding bands in the run up to the wedding and I can safely say you smashed them out of the park. People are still talking about “That band” so extra thanks there! Also a special thank you to you for taking on our request for our first dance song and executing it perfectly! I think the Script would have been proud! All the best for the future and again THANK YOU!”

“We loved you guys, and so did all our guests! Everyone had a fab time and you got everyone up and dancing almost immediately, there wasn't a time there was no one on the dance floor. I even had people asking for your details as they were thinking of booking you for their own upcoming wedding. We couldn't have picked a better band and were so pleased with you all. Thank you again!”
