World Music Bands in Yorkshire & the Humber

World music acts covering the whole of Yorkshire & the Humber

Finding the right world music act is easier when you can see every option in one place. This page covers all of Yorkshire & the Humber, from Harrogate, Doncaster, Leeds, Beverley and Acomb, and every act listed travels to venues across the region for weddings, themed parties and cultural celebrations.

Our listings for Yorkshire & the Humber take in Hull & East Yorkshire, Leeds & West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Sheffield & South Yorkshire and York. Each of those areas has its own page too, which you'll find in the links further down, but the acts here will travel to any of them.

Venues across Yorkshire & the Humber that our acts know well include Hornington Manor and Tankersley Manor, Left Bank Leeds and Tickton Grange Hotel, and Barmby Field Barns and Raven Hall. Every venue has its own space, power supply and finish time, and we'll check those with the act for you.

Not every world music act does the same job. Within this category you'll find ceilidh, Greek, oompah, steel, Bollywood and other world music acts, and knowing the feel you want for your wedding or event makes the choice much easier.

Hireaband has been booking live entertainment since 1999. Every act listed here covers Yorkshire & the Humber, and PA, lighting and travel are included in the quote you receive. Use the instant quote button on this page to check prices and availability for your date.

At a glance:

  • Most world music acts cost between £600 and £2,500
  • PA, lighting and travel are included in the price you're quoted
  • One page covering every area of Yorkshire & the Humber
  • Popular acts book up early for busy dates, so enquire soon
  • A 14-day change-of-mind refund comes with every booking

Most acts perform two or three sets, with playlist music or a break in between. Share your running order when you enquire, including any special moments, and we'll build the quote around it.

Expect to pay from around £600 up to £2,500 or more for a larger line-up. The act, the date and your set times make the biggest difference. Every quote includes PA, lighting and travel, so nothing is added later.

Each act's page carries real video, audio, a song list and reviews from previous clients. A couple of clips will tell you far more about how an act works a room than any description can.

Enter your date and venue in the instant quote button for live pricing and availability. After you book, we look after the contract, deposit and details, and keep in touch right up to the event. You also get a 14-day change-of-mind refund and an emergency contact number to use on the day.

FAQs

It covers themed and cultural acts rather than a standard covers band: Bavarian oompah bands for Oktoberfest, ceilidh and folk bands, pipers, Latin and salsa groups, klezmer and Jewish celebration bands, and country acts. Each act's page shows its style and repertoire.

Yes. Ceilidh bands come with a caller who explains and walks guests through each dance before the music starts, so nobody needs to know the steps in advance. It's one of the best ways to get a whole room joining in.

Many can. Oompah bands, pipers and smaller Latin or folk line-ups often play acoustically while moving among guests, which works well for drinks receptions, fun days and festivals. Check the act's page or ask us when you enquire.

Most do. Stage and ceilidh bands bring their own PA; acoustic and roaming acts may need nothing at all. Larger line-ups need floor space and power nearby, so it's worth checking both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £600 for a smaller act to £2,500 or more for a larger band. The number of musicians, the date and the length of the booking make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

For Oktoberfest (September and October), Burns Night, St Patrick's Day and December, book as early as you can — these are the busiest dates for themed acts. For other dates, a few months' notice is usually plenty.

“Played at my venue a couple weeks back and absolutely rocked it! They got the crowd up and going, created an amazing atmosphere and sounded great. An added bonus that they just happen to be lovely people as well. Will definitely have them back and couldn't recommend them enough to other venues or parties!”

“From start to finish the communication from Irving (HireABand) and Max (Badass Brass) have been excellent. On the lead up to the big day Max was very helpful and patient and teh performance itself went down a storm. I would highly recommend both to anyone in the future.”
