Wedding Entertainment in the North West

Wedding acts covering the whole of the North West

The North West covers a lot of ground, from Lancaster, Salford Quays, Knutsford, Formby, Windermere and Lytham St Annes. Our wedding acts travel right across the region, so wherever your wedding is, you'll find acts on this page who already know the venues, the roads and the local crowds. They're booked for ceremonies, drinks receptions and evening parties.

Our listings for the North West take in Blackpool, Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Lancaster, Liverpool and Manchester. Each of those areas has its own page too, which you'll find in the links further down, but the acts here will travel to any of them.

From Forrest Hills and Victoria Baths to Styal Lodge, Love Lane Brewery, Holker Hall and The Glass House at Staining Lodge, the venues across the North West range from grand country houses to barns, hotels and city spaces. Our acts are used to adapting to all of them.

The category covers wedding bands, DJs, solo singers, acoustic duos, string quartets, harpists, magicians and roaming acts. Their pages show exactly what each one plays, so you can match the act to your guests and your venue.

Hireaband has been booking live entertainment since 1999. Every act listed here covers the North West, and travel, plus PA and lighting where relevant are included in the quote you receive. Use the instant quote button on this page to check prices and availability for your date.

At a glance:

  • Most wedding acts cost between £300 and £4,000
  • Travel, plus PA and lighting where relevant are included in the price you're quoted
  • One page covering every area of the North West
  • Popular acts book up early for busy dates, so enquire soon
  • A 14-day change-of-mind refund comes with every booking

Start with the space and the guest numbers. A smaller line-up suits an intimate room or a venue with a sound limiter, while a larger act fills a ballroom or marquee. Tell us the venue and numbers and we'll suggest what tends to work.

Most bookings fall between £300 and £4,000. The size of the line-up is the biggest factor, followed by the date and how long the act plays. Travel, plus PA and lighting where relevant are included in the quote, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay, wherever you are in the North West.

Every act's page has video and audio of the performers who would actually play at your wedding, a full song list and written reviews from people who have booked them. It's the easiest way to judge the style before you commit.

Use the instant quote button on this page to see prices and availability for your date. Once you've chosen an act, we handle the contract, the deposit and the arrangements, and stay in touch through to the day. Every booking includes a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and an emergency contact line is available on the day if anything needs sorting quickly.

FAQs

Wedding Entertainment is the full range — live bands, solo singers, duos, acoustic musicians and more — so you can compare every option in one place rather than committing to one format first.

It varies a lot by format — a solo singer or acoustic duo typically starts from around £300, whereas a live band can be anything from £1,200 all the way to £4,000 and over, depending on line-up size. Travel is always included in every quote.

Yes — solo acts and duos are one of the most popular choices for smaller weddings, ceremonies or where budget or space is limited, and they're booked through the same instant-quote process.

Yes, every act listed here travels to the North West as standard, with travel costs already included in the quote you receive.

Many acoustic acts and duos can cover ceremony music as well as an evening set — check each act's own page for what's included, or ask us directly when you enquire.

Most couples book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday — earlier is generally safer the bigger the act, since full bands get booked up first.

“The band was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding reception & every guest had nothing but great things to say about them! We didn't need to do anything on our side apart from choose the first dance in which the band executed perfectly! The band's professionalism, performance and energy were out of this world and Jamie was easily contactable throughout! I can't thank the band enough for such a memorable night and thank you for the Ibiza hour & sax- was incredible!!!”

“From communication in booking with hire a band, to the band themselves, was excellent. The band were easy to deal with, very accommodating and it was lovely to have our very own version of our wedding song created. They interacted well with all the guests and the other suppliers. Everyone has commented how fantastic they were and they helped to complete a brilliant day with their excellent performance.”

“Excellent communication from Del and the team. Declan was brilliant. Very professional musician with a lovely voice. Played a great variation of songs to suit all age groups of the party. Excellent value for money. Stairway to Heaven was incredible! Will book again in the future and highly recommend Declan and the company to everyone.”

“Soul Sugar Band were phenomenal!! They provided us with the fantastic entertainment that we had wished for our wedding evening. We found the band to be extremely professional in organising and setting up for our night. The night was perfect with a lot of great songs performed, the band were all fantastic quality musicians, both singers were amazing and kept the crowd grooving and dancing. We all had a lot of fun! Thank you Soul Sugar for a wonderful night.”

“Both Simon and Konrad the saxophonist were brilliant and it was everything we wanted and more. We had so many people say they’ve never experienced anything like that at a wedding and everyone had such a great time. Thank you!”

“Marcus was one of the highlights of a fantastic day. We can't thank him enough for his wonderful performance at our wedding. He was just lovely with the little ones too, playing tunes just for them. We all had a great time. Thanks Marcus.”
