Room size matters more than guest numbers. A four or five-piece suits most Cornwall function rooms and barns comfortably, filling a dance floor without overwhelming the space. Bigger halls and marquees carry a six to eight-piece well, where brass or a second vocalist adds real weight. The number of musicians is the biggest factor, followed by the day and the time of year — a Tuesday in March can cost less than a Saturday in July, and there is often value in an off-peak date if your budget is tight.
