Mumford & Sons Style Wedding Bands in Worcestershire

Hire a folk-rock wedding band in Worcestershire

A Mumford & Sons style wedding band brings banjos, stomp boxes and big harmonies to your dance floor. In Worcestershire, these folk-rock wedding bands are booked for barn weddings, marquee receptions and festival-themed celebrations, playing high-energy folk versions of chart hits alongside the foot-stomping anthems every guest knows.

Whether your wedding is near Evesham, Bromsgrove and Malvern or elsewhere in Worcestershire, the acts on this page cover the whole area. Local venues include Eckington Manor, Old Rectory House and Stanbrook Abbey Hotel. If you'd like an acoustic set outdoors during the drinks, check the venue has a covered spot in case of rain.

Not every folk-rock band does the same job. Some are best known for their acoustic sets during a drinks reception, some for a full-volume evening party, and many do both in a single booking, moving from the lawn to the dance floor.

We've been booking live bands since 1999, and every folk-rock wedding band on this page covers Worcestershire. Travel is built into the quote, the band brings what it needs to be heard, and you can check your date and price straight away with the instant quote button.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: from around £1,000 for a smaller band to £3,000 or more for a larger line-up, depending on date and set times
  • Mumford-style folk, bluegrass, hoedown and folk-rock covers
  • Acoustic reception sets and full evening party sets
  • Travel is included in every quote
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

A trio suits a small party or a drinks reception. For a wedding evening or a large corporate party, a four to six-piece with drums or a stomp box fills the room properly. Tell us the venue and guest numbers and we'll suggest what tends to work.

A trio or four-piece typically starts from around £1,000, while a larger band for an afternoon and evening can reach £3,000 or more. The date and your set times make a difference too. The price in your quote includes travel, so it won't change once you've booked.

Every act's page has video and audio of the musicians who would actually play, their repertoire and written reviews from people who have booked them. It's the easiest way to check the style and the atmosphere before you commit.

Use the instant quote button on this page to see prices and availability for your date. Once you've chosen an act, we handle the contract, the deposit and the arrangements, and stay in touch through to the day. Every booking includes a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and an emergency contact line is available on the day if anything needs sorting quickly.

FAQs

It's a folk-rock band built around acoustic instruments like banjo, mandolin, fiddle and acoustic guitar, with a driving beat from a kick drum or stomp box. They play folk anthems and folk-style versions of pop and rock hits.

Most can. Many bands offer an unplugged set for the drinks reception, often moving among guests, before their full evening set. Mention it when you enquire and we'll include it in the quote.

Yes. Bands bring their own PA and lighting for the evening set, and acoustic sets need little or nothing. The full band needs floor space and power nearby, so check both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £1,000 for a smaller band to £3,000 or more for a larger line-up. The number of musicians, the date and the length of the booking make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

It's one of the most popular choices. The acoustic instruments and foot-stomping energy suit barns, marquees and outdoor venues, and the sound works well in rooms where a louder band might struggle.

Yes. Most folk-rock bands play folk-style versions of pop, rock and chart hits alongside folk anthems, so there's something for every guest. Each act's song list shows exactly what they cover.

“Tommy & Sons we're incredible! They absolutely smashed our first song, got everybody up and dancing and sounded better than we hoped! We highly recommend!!!”

“These guys were great. Both myself, my husband and all of our guests would highly recommend this band. Not only were they lovely people but they got everyone up and dancing with a great sense of humour. The communication before the wedding in choosing a first dance and any songs we particularly wanted was very good with Paul, and even when we changed our mind on the songs a day before the wedding it wasn't an issue. The music was great, upbeat and foot stomping! Just what you want to get a crowd on their feet!”

“Your rendition of the song for our first dance was perfect, and all of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music. I'd have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone for their own events. We really did have a perfect day, and we are very grateful to you for helping to make it so special.”

“These guys were amazing. For starters they learnt our wedding song that was not part of there playlist. They were very attentive, throughout the whole process and during the wedding. They are kind and polite and had a really great stage presence. They took requests as well as performing mashups and their version of hit songs. One of the big unique selling points is that they all sing and they can each play the respective instruments, so they kept switching singers, guitarists and drummers which was really cool to see and this changed the genres of music aswell. I would 100% hire them again and would recommend them to everyone. Thanks Alastair & Jessica”

“Hope Street were amazing. They really made our wedding party. They kept on playing in extreme heat and everyone loved them. Thank you.”

“Bobby and Billy brought so much fun to our company wild west themed summer party. They entertained a crowd of over 200 and had everyone singing and dancing along. I found them via Instagram, and they were even better in real life. They interacted with the crowd with ease and were hilariously funny as well as talented. Communication with Bully & The Banjo was second to none and I would highly recommend them to anyone who loves a fun filled party – genuinely trying to work out how we can use them again! I would 100% recommend them to others YEEHAW!”
