Mumford & Sons Style Wedding Bands in Lincolnshire

Hire a folk-rock wedding band in Lincolnshire

If you want your wedding to feel like the best tent at a summer festival, a Mumford & Sons style wedding band is the one to book. In Lincolnshire, these bands play weddings first and foremost, and their mix of folk, bluegrass and rock covers suits guests of every age.

Lincolnshire has a wide choice of wedding venues, from Belvoir Castle and Stubton Hall to Bardney Hall. Our folk-rock wedding bands travel right across the area, including Lincoln, Boston and Grantham, so a festival-style wedding is never out of reach.

Not every folk-rock band does the same job. Some are best known for their acoustic sets during a drinks reception, some for a full-volume evening party, and many do both in a single booking, moving from the lawn to the dance floor.

Hireaband has been booking live music since 1999. Every folk-rock wedding band here travels to Lincolnshire as standard, brings the equipment it needs, and the quote you receive includes travel. Use the instant quote button on this page to check prices and availability for your date.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: from around £1,000 for a smaller band to £3,000 or more for a larger line-up, depending on date and set times
  • Mumford-style folk, bluegrass, hoedown and folk-rock covers
  • Acoustic reception sets and full evening party sets
  • Travel is included in every quote
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

A trio suits a small party or a drinks reception. For a wedding evening or a large corporate party, a four to six-piece with drums or a stomp box fills the room properly. Tell us the venue and guest numbers and we'll suggest what tends to work.

Most folk-rock wedding bookings fall between about £1,000 and £3,000. The number of musicians is the biggest factor, followed by the date and how long they play, and summer weekends book up first. Travel is included in the quote, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay.

Rather than a generic demo, each act's page shows the actual line-up you'd be booking, with videos, audio, a song list and client reviews. Between them you'll get a clear sense of the sound and the show well before the day.

Enter your date and venue in the instant quote button for live pricing and availability. After you book, we look after the contract, deposit and details, and keep in touch right up to the event. You also get a 14-day change-of-mind refund and an emergency contact number to use on the day.

FAQs

It's a folk-rock band built around acoustic instruments like banjo, mandolin, fiddle and acoustic guitar, with a driving beat from a kick drum or stomp box. They play folk anthems and folk-style versions of pop and rock hits.

Most can. Many bands offer an unplugged set for the drinks reception, often moving among guests, before their full evening set. Mention it when you enquire and we'll include it in the quote.

Yes. Bands bring their own PA and lighting for the evening set, and acoustic sets need little or nothing. The full band needs floor space and power nearby, so check both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £1,000 for a smaller band to £3,000 or more for a larger line-up. The number of musicians, the date and the length of the booking make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

It's one of the most popular choices. The acoustic instruments and foot-stomping energy suit barns, marquees and outdoor venues, and the sound works well in rooms where a louder band might struggle.

Yes. Most folk-rock bands play folk-style versions of pop, rock and chart hits alongside folk anthems, so there's something for every guest. Each act's song list shows exactly what they cover.

“All I've heard since the wedding, was how much everyone enjoyed the music, so many thanks to you and the guys.”

“Thank you very muck to Shoeshine for making our day a really special one. The band arrived and were attentive to the fact we were sitting down. They agreed to where we were wanting them to set up and didn't make any undue noise in the background for their sound checks. The first two sessions were perfect music for the day (it was really hot and everyone was outside) but the last session had loads of us on the dance floor and finished off what was a perfect day (even leaving some background music to the last minute!) The service has been fantastic and I would recommend Shoeshine and the Hireaband staff easily.”

“These guys were unbelievable - they had very guest on there feet dancing - some of which were still recovering from knee and back surgery's! They played multiple last songs and just gave out the most incredible vibe. I'm still getting messages from the guest saying how amazing they were :) 10/10 would recommend!”

“Hope Street played at our wedding on 18th August 2018. They were absolutely outstanding! Had the dance floor packed all evening and really made our evening reception one to remember for everyone. So many guests commented on how good they were i can't thank them enough and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top class band for your wedding. Hireaband were also a great agency to work with providing us with info whenever we needed it.”

“We had Bully & Thee Banjo Perform at our wedding and thanks to them every single guest was up on the dance floor, which we think is pretty unheard of! They were fabulously good fun, entertaining and enjoyable across all demographics. They created an unbelievable atmosphere and brought the party to life. Everyone is still talking about how great they were, and whether they are really American… Don’t hesitate to book them, you won’t regret it! 11/10! Bully & The Banjo truly made our event what is was! Not to mention they are professional, easy-going and punctual!”

“We are SO glad we booked you to play at our wedding! People absolutely loved it and were commenting all night about how good the band was. You managed to fill the dance floor and even those who didn’t know some of the country music we had asked for were loving it. You played all our special requests too which was just wonderful and the fact you were able to learn and play Til You Can’t absolutely made our evening! It was lovely to see our friends and family having such a great time; it was certainly the highlight of our evening”
