Jewish Wedding & Event Bands in East Sussex

Live bands for Jewish weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs in East Sussex

Simchas have their own rhythm, from the entrance of the couple and the chair lift to the Hava Nagila set and the late-night party. Across East Sussex, the bands on this page are experienced with Jewish weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs and anniversary celebrations, and they plan every moment with you in advance.

East Sussex has a wide choice of event venues, from The Grand Hotel and Buxted Park Hotel to Hendall Manor Barns. Our bands travel right across the area, including Hastings, Eastbourne and Lewes, and many work regularly with kosher caterers and event planners.

Within this category you'll find showbands, klezmer bands and party bands experienced with Jewish celebrations. Many offer ceremony and reception music as well as the evening band, and their song lists show exactly which Jewish and Israeli songs they cover.

Hireaband has been booking live music since 1999. Every Jewish event band here travels to East Sussex as standard, brings the equipment it needs, and the quote you receive includes travel. Use the instant quote button on this page to check prices and availability for your date.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: from around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband, depending on line-up, date and set times
  • Hora and Israeli dance sets, klezmer and a full party set
  • Ceremony, reception and evening music available
  • Travel is included in every quote
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

For 150 guests or more, a seven to ten-piece showband gives the room the energy it needs. For smaller celebrations, a five or six-piece works well. Tell us the venue, the guest numbers and the running order and we'll suggest what tends to work.

A five or six-piece typically starts from around £1,500, while a large showband with horns and several singers can reach £4,000 or more. The date and your set times make a difference too. The price in your quote includes travel, so it won't change once you've booked.

Rather than a generic demo, each act's page shows the actual line-up you'd be booking, with videos, audio, a song list and client reviews. Between them you'll get a clear sense of the sound and the show well before the day.

The instant quote button gives you a price and availability for your date straight away. From there, we manage the contract and deposit and keep you updated until the event. Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and there's an emergency contact line on the day in case anything needs sorting.

FAQs

Yes. Every band in this category plays a hora and Israeli dance set, including Hava Nagila and other favourites, and will agree the songs and timing with you before the day.

Many can. Some bands offer an acoustic or klezmer set for the ceremony or drinks reception before the main evening set. Mention it when you enquire and we'll include it in the quote.

Yes. Bands bring their own PA and lighting. Larger showbands need a good-sized stage area and power nearby, so it's worth checking both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband. The number of musicians, the date and the length of the evening make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

Yes. Bands experienced with simchas are used to fitting their sets around courses, speeches and the chair lift. They'll agree a running order with you and your caterer or planner in advance.

For weekend weddings and bar mitzvahs, a year or more ahead is common, as the most popular bands book up early. For other dates, a few months' notice is often enough.

“I just wanted to say… WOW. You guys were incredible and totally made our evening. Thank you so so so much. Everyone commented on how fantastic you were. You were more amazing than I could have imagined. Loved all the songs and you always had a full dance floor. Such great musicians, so professional and you looked fab! Thank you for coming up from Leeds for us. Thanks a million and if ever we need a band again I will be sure to book you.”

“We would like to say a massive thank you to City Boys for such a great night! The guys were fantastic - they were friendly, professional and most importantly sounded great! The playlist was brilliant and kept a whole range of different ages partying on the dance floor all night! Just what we wanted!! Please pass on our thanks to the band! Also, thank you Irving for being so organised and speedy with responding to our emails and confirming the booking. The service from Hireaband was fab. Many thanks.”

“Dear Hireaband - Very happy with Monte Carlo. The choice of music was good and they got people dancing. The manager of the venue also remarked that the guys were very pleasant and that she would recommend them in future. Only problem for me was I spent so much time talking to people I missed most of the second session. The problem with do's like this for the host!”

(5)

“Garden Party were utterly fantastic. The band members are brilliant, the songs perfect and the performance was out of this world! Can’t wait to have them back!”

“Full of atmosphere! Mitzvah Tanz music takes you straight to the main stage, where you can become part of the celebration of music and life!”
