Solo Singers on the Isle of Wight

Hire a solo singer on the Isle of Wight

A solo singer is one of the simplest ways to add live music to a wedding or party. On the Isle of Wight, singers are booked for the walk down the aisle, the drinks reception, the wedding breakfast and smaller celebrations, bringing a personal touch that recorded music can't match.

Popular wedding venues on the Isle of Wight include Northwood House, Cowes Yacht Haven and Royal Ocean Racing Club, and our solo singers travel to weddings and events across Newport, Ryde and Cowes. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we'll help you choose an act that suits the space. Other venues in the area include New Barn Farm, Appuldurcombe House and Albert Cottage Hotel, and each has its own venue page further down.

Solo singers come in a few different styles. Some accompany themselves on guitar, some sing at the piano, some specialise in swing and crooner songs, and others perform to backing tracks for a fuller sound.

We've been booking wedding entertainment since 1999, and every solo singer on this page covers the Isle of Wight. You can check your date and price straight away with the instant quote button.

The essentials:

  • Prices usually from £250 up to £900
  • Many acts can cover more than one part of the day in a single booking
  • Summer Saturdays book up first, so it pays to enquire early
  • The quote you receive sets out exactly what's included
  • 14-day change-of-mind refund on every booking

A singer with guitar suits a relaxed drinks reception or a ceremony in a smaller room. A singer-pianist works well where there's a piano at the venue, or for a more classic feel. Singers using backing tracks give you the sound of a full band from one performer, which suits a party or a later evening set.

Most solo singer bookings fall between £250 and £900. A single set for the ceremony sits at the lower end, while a singer covering the ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast, or an evening set, sits towards the upper end. The date and time of year make up the rest of the difference, so a weekday or winter date can cost less than a summer Saturday.

Each act's page carries real video and audio, a repertoire list and reviews from previous clients. Watching a couple of clips tells you far more than any description can, so it's worth listening before you choose.

Use the instant quote button on this page to see prices and availability for your date. Once you've chosen an act, we handle the contract, the deposit and the arrangements, and stay in touch through to the day. Every booking includes a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and an emergency contact line is available on the day if anything needs sorting quickly.

FAQs

Most cover the ceremony, the drinks reception and the wedding breakfast, and some also play an evening set. Many can learn a special song for the aisle or the first dance.

Many do. Some accompany themselves on guitar or piano, while others sing to backing tracks for a fuller sound. Each singer's page shows exactly how they perform.

Yes. Singer-guitarists and singers using backing tracks bring everything they need. Singer-pianists usually bring a digital piano if the venue on the Isle of Wight doesn't have one.

Very little. A small corner of the room and a standard power socket is usually enough.

Typically £250 to £900, depending on how long they perform and the date. Your quote shows exactly what's included.

Most can, given a few weeks' notice. Mention it when you enquire and the singer will confirm.

“Before the event Dave did everything possible to work with us and make sure that it all went without a hitch, which was much appreciated. He and the rest of his group were friendly and professional throughout, and our guests loved seeing the joy they so clearly get from what they do. We hadn’t tried jazz at our hotel before, but it went down really well and we received lots of great feedback.”

“5 stars for Paul Thorpe best Elvis entertainer I have ever seen. He is a very friendly and helpful guy, he is just a real gent. Do go to see him if he comes to your town. You will not be disappointed. I usually see him in Grangemouth and surrounding areas, decided to go to Peterhead prison Jailhouse Rock show. Then to Glasgow the Marriot hotel. husband enjoyed his 60th Birthday treat in our own home.”

“Jesse was a complete professional and delivered our wedding songs beautifully. We asked Jesse to learn some songs that were personal to us and he didn't disappoint. He was honest and realistic with us to ensure that it met our expectations which was really appreciated as we all know how important it is to have that perfect wedding day. Lots of our guests commented on his performance and loved the music. Would highly recommend.”

“Just a note to say thank you so much for friday night. You were brilliant, everyone loved the music, and the dancing!! It was such a fun evening, hope you did too even if you were working!Looking forward to booking you again...just need another excuse for a party!! In the meantime maybe see you at amuse bouche.”

“Jessie was amazing from the minute we first spoke to him, so chilled and made everything stress free which is exactly what we wanted. He has the most incredible voice and his performance of our first dance was honestly unreal, we actually preferred it to the original! Even with only 30 guests at the wedding party, he still managed to fill the dance floor with the DJ set later on. We cannot thank him enough.”

“Hi. We would like to record our appreciation to Declan Daniel for the music he played at our wedding reception last Saturday. Many of the guests commented on the quality of his playing and there is no doubt that Declan's music added a very special ingredient to our special day. Please pass on our thanks and best wishes for his musical career. Many thanks also for a very efficient service. Best wishes”
