Jewish Wedding & Event Bands in Bristol

Live bands for Jewish weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs in Bristol

A Jewish wedding or bar mitzvah needs a band that knows the running order as well as the music. In Bristol, our Jewish event bands play the hora and Israeli dance medleys at exactly the right moment, then keep the dance floor full with soul, pop and party classics for the rest of the night.

Bristol has a wide choice of event venues, from Manor Farm and Paintworks Event Space to Aldwick Court Farm. Our bands travel right across the area, including Keynsham, Clifton and the city centre, and many work regularly with kosher caterers and event planners.

Not every band plays a simcha the same way. Some lead a long, high-energy hora set with Israeli favourites, some add a klezmer or acoustic set for the ceremony or reception, and all of them follow up with a party set for the rest of the night.

Hireaband has been booking live music since 1999. Every Jewish event band here travels to Bristol as standard, brings the equipment it needs, and the quote you receive includes travel. Use the instant quote button on this page to check prices and availability for your date.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: from around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband, depending on line-up, date and set times
  • Hora and Israeli dance sets, klezmer and a full party set
  • Ceremony, reception and evening music available
  • Travel is included in every quote
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Most couples and families have the hora after the first course or at the start of the dancing, with a chair lift and an Israeli medley. The band will agree the timings, the songs and any special requests with you beforehand, so the big moments land exactly when you want them.

Most Jewish wedding and bar mitzvah bookings fall between about £1,500 and £4,000. The number of musicians is the biggest factor, followed by the date, the length of the evening and extras such as ceremony music. Travel is included in the quote, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay.

Rather than a generic demo, each act's page shows the actual line-up you'd be booking, with videos, audio, a song list and client reviews. Between them you'll get a clear sense of the sound and the show well before the day.

Enter your date and venue in the instant quote button for live pricing and availability. After you book, we look after the contract, deposit and details, and keep in touch right up to the event. You also get a 14-day change-of-mind refund and an emergency contact number to use on the day.

FAQs

Yes. Every band in this category plays a hora and Israeli dance set, including Hava Nagila and other favourites, and will agree the songs and timing with you before the day.

Many can. Some bands offer an acoustic or klezmer set for the ceremony or drinks reception before the main evening set. Mention it when you enquire and we'll include it in the quote.

Yes. Bands bring their own PA and lighting. Larger showbands need a good-sized stage area and power nearby, so it's worth checking both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband. The number of musicians, the date and the length of the evening make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

Yes. Bands experienced with simchas are used to fitting their sets around courses, speeches and the chair lift. They'll agree a running order with you and your caterer or planner in advance.

For weekend weddings and bar mitzvahs, a year or more ahead is common, as the most popular bands book up early. For other dates, a few months' notice is often enough.

“Superb music - please put the date in the diary again for next year”

“Just want to say a massive thank you for all you did to make our wedding day extra special. The professionalism of you and the band where amazing from start to finish. We had looked at a few wedding bands in the run up to the wedding and I can safely say you smashed them out of the park. People are still talking about “That band” so extra thanks there! Also a special thank you to you for taking on our request for our first dance song and executing it perfectly! I think the Script would have been proud! All the best for the future and again THANK YOU!”

“We loved you guys, and so did all our guests! Everyone had a fab time and you got everyone up and dancing almost immediately, there wasn't a time there was no one on the dance floor. I even had people asking for your details as they were thinking of booking you for their own upcoming wedding. We couldn't have picked a better band and were so pleased with you all. Thank you again!”

“ust wanted to thank you and all of The Sherlocks so much for an awesome night of playing on Saturday – you must hear this all the time but you really made the evening for us and all our guests have been raving about you! By the sounds of things you’ll be playing at quite a few events for our friends and family in future, so we hope to see/hear you again soon! Best wishes, Steph & Tom”

“I just wished to say thank you so much for everything on Sunday. You were truly fantastic and everyone said that you were amazing. I really appreciated all your work you did, especially as the isle of wight is not the easiest place for you to get to.”
