Music Duos in Swansea

Live duos for weddings and parties in Swansea

For many weddings and parties in Swansea, a duo is the ideal middle ground: more musical depth than a solo act, a fraction of the space of a full band, and the flexibility to play from the ceremony through to the evening.

Popular wedding venues in Swansea include Parc Le Breos House, Oxwich Bay Hotel and Oldwalls Gower, and our duos travel to weddings and events across Swansea, Mumbles and Neath. Tell us your venue when you enquire and we'll help you choose an act that suits the space. Fairyhill, Brangwyn Hall and Craig y Nos Castle are among the other Swansea venues listed further down, each with its own page.

Two musicians can do a surprising amount. An acoustic duo adds harmonies to a ceremony, a jazz duo gives a dinner a sense of occasion, and a party duo with backing tracks can fill a dance floor in a room where a full band wouldn't fit.

We've been booking wedding entertainment since 1999, and every duo on this page covers Swansea. You can check your date and price straight away with the instant quote button.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: £450 to £1,400, depending on how long they perform and the date
  • Your quote shows exactly what's included
  • Ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast packages available from many acts
  • Most couples book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

For most receptions and dinners, yes. A duo comfortably fills a room of around 100 guests and needs only a small area to set up. For a large function room or a crowd that wants to dance all night, look for a party duo with a bigger PA, or consider a full band.

Most duo bookings fall between £450 and £1,400. A single daytime set sits at the lower end, while a duo covering the ceremony, drinks, meal and an evening set sits towards the upper end. The date and time of year make up the rest of the difference, so a weekday or winter date can cost less than a summer Saturday.

Rather than a generic demo, every act's page shows the performer you would be booking, with videos, audio, a repertoire list and reviews. Between them you can get a clear sense of the act well before the day.

The instant quote button gives you a price and availability for your date straight away. From there, we manage the contract and deposit and keep you updated until the day. Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and there's an emergency contact line on the day in case anything needs sorting.

FAQs

It depends on the duo. Acoustic duos play stripped-back versions of well-known songs, jazz duos play standards and lounge music, and party duos play dance-floor hits, often with backing tracks.

Many can. A lot of duos offer packages covering the ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and an evening set.

A party duo with a proper PA is, for most venues in Swansea. For very large rooms, tell us the guest numbers and we'll suggest whether a duo or a bigger line-up suits better.

Not much. Around two by three metres and a nearby power socket is usually enough.

Typically £450 to £1,400, depending on the style, how long they play and the date. Your quote shows exactly what's included.

Most can, given enough notice. Mention it when you enquire.

“Natalie and Aaron were exactly what I wanted for my 50th. They accommodated my every need and we had them play for an extra hour because we were all having such a great time. There was never a dull moment with the energy that Natalie and Aaron brought to the party. Talented musicians and lovely people- would definitely recommend to others”

“Dear Padraig Words cannot express how wonderful you were, at the celebration we had for my mum's passing, at Greenwoods recently. So many relatives asked whether you actually knew mum, as you had made it so personal, they were, as you could probably tell, really enjoying themselves! I could not have wished for a more fitting tribute to my mum, just sad that you couldn't meet her as she would have been your biggest fan that night! With sincere thanks.”

“Thank you very much for entertaining our pensioners today they all enjoyed the day and we had lovely comments about the entertainment. Perfect for our event and lovely voices from 2 lovely people. Thank you also for the little extra of entertaining our day care clients at their party during your break. We hope to see you again merry xmas”

“Thank you for a wonderful performance. Jack and Tee were excellent, got everyone up dancing, the music was good enough to satisfy my very fussy musical family and that's saying something. All the guests thought they were great and gave them excellent reviews. We highly recommend them and will not hesitate to call them for another family function. Flexible, current and worth every penny. (10 / 10)”

“Exceptionally talented pair. Had the pleasure of listening to them on the P&O Britannia and they helped us have a fantastic time, we were truly entertained. The vocals are beautifully on point and create a perfect atmosphere. Best of all is their choice of repertoire, so much variety and perfect to relax to; I even found myself singing along on several occasions! Thanks for some great music.”

“Absolutely superb! Would recommend these guys to anyone looking for a band that offers something that little bit different. Great with a more chilled out set outside in the summer sun as guests arrived for the wedding reception, then a more energetic set to kick off the evening celebrations and get everyone up and dancing. We had so many comments for our guests about just how perfect Bully & The Banjo were. They set a warm, celebratory tone at the start which lasted through the entire reception.”
