Wedding Daytime Entertainment in Wales

Daytime acts across Wales

Finding the right daytime act is easier when you can see every option in one place. This page covers all of Wales, from Llandudno, Penarth and Swansea Marina, and every act listed travels to venues across the region for ceremonies, drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts.

Across Cardiff, North Wales and Swansea, the daytime acts listed here play ceremonies, drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts. Use the area links lower down if you'd like a list narrowed to one part of Wales.

From Soughton Hall and Hensol Castle to Oldwalls Gower, Ruthin Castle, Miskin Manor and Fairyhill, the venues across Wales range from grand country houses to barns, hotels and city spaces. Our acts are used to adapting to all of them.

The category covers acoustic duos, singers, pianists, string players and roaming acts for the hours before the evening party. Their pages show exactly what each one plays, so you can match the act to your guests and your venue.

Hireaband has been booking live entertainment since 1999. Every act listed here covers Wales, and travel and any amplification are included in the quote you receive. Use the instant quote button on this page to check prices and availability for your date.

What to know:

  • Budget £300 to £1,500 for most bookings
  • Every quote includes travel and any amplification
  • Travel within Wales is never added on later
  • Many acts offer longer or extra sets if you need them
  • Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Most acts perform two or three sets, with playlist music or a break in between. Share your running order when you enquire, including any special moments, and we'll build the quote around it.

Most bookings fall between £300 and £1,500. The size of the line-up is the biggest factor, followed by the date and how long the act plays. Travel and any amplification are included in the quote, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay, wherever you are in Wales.

Rather than a generic demo, every act's page shows the actual line-up you'd be booking, with videos, audio and a song list. Underneath are reviews from clients, often at venues you'll recognise.

Enter your date and venue in the instant quote button for live pricing and availability. After you book, we look after the contract, deposit and details, and keep in touch right up to the event. You also get a 14-day change-of-mind refund and an emergency contact number to use on the day.

FAQs

Anything that happens before the evening band: ceremony music, drinks reception music and entertainment during the wedding breakfast. That includes solo singers, harpists, pianists, guitarists, string quartets, acoustic duos, roaming musicians and close-up magicians.

Yes, and it's a common way to book. Many soloists, duos and quartets offer packages covering all three, which is usually better value than booking separate acts.

Harpists, pianists, guitarists and string quartets usually play acoustically in a ceremony room or church. Singers and duos bring a small PA for larger rooms or outdoor spaces, so tell us the venue in Wales when you enquire.

Many can, as long as there's cover nearby and power where it's needed. Acoustic instruments such as harps and strings need shelter from sun and rain, so check your venue's wet-weather plan.

Typically £300 to £1,500, depending on the act, how long they perform and the date. Your quote shows exactly what's included.

Many can, given enough notice. Mention it when you enquire and the act will confirm whether they can add it for your day.

“I really enjoyed working with Livi ITM. Despite their youth, the band were thoroughly professional and dedicated musicians who brought a fresh dynamic to our music festival. The trio complement each other very well, bringing a warmth to the stage that the audience to engage with. Livi, front and centre, delivered controlled vocals of a seasoned pro, years ahead of her time. I look forward to working with them again.”

“I’d recommend Ian without hesitation. Not only is he a huge talent with a fine repertoire, he is a genuinely good guy who was friendly and communicative during the build-up to my wedding. On the day itself he went above and beyond what I’d expect from a performer by allowing my son (a beginner on guitar) to play along to one of his songs. Ian is a top talent and a top man.”

“Love Detroit Vintage Duo! Was so happy to find them for my wedding a couple of years ago, Paul was great to deal with and everybody commented on how good they were for weeks after. They sound authentic and always look like they are enjoying themselves whilst playing. Recently booked them again when I was helping my Dad organise a big 50th birthday and they were great!”

“Hi both, we've had many compliments from our guests about your performances and we couldn't be more pleased with how things went. Not only did you provide fantastic live music, but you did it in a tight spot with minimal help from us! We sincerely believe that we could not have chosen a better band for the day and want to thank you both for coming. Mr & Mrs Miller :)”

“We did something a little bit different and organised for the piper to play on the Sunday morning after our wedding to welcome our guests for breakfast. Our piper was brilliant. He was punctual and professional. He had good communication throughout. Our guests, especially our English relatives couldn’t stop raving about him and he was kind enough to have photos taken also. Would highly recommend. Colin was friendly and approachable and a great musician.”

“Dan and his team were a wonderful addition to our special day. Everything ran wonderfully well and our guests were thrilled with the selection of music chosen for the day. Anatole Quartet were extremely professional and leading up to the day, happily communicated with the Choir and Church, leaving my husband and I to focus on other things. Absolutely five star and highly recommended. Thanks again.”
