Wedding Bands in Bristol

Wedding bands in Bristol

We've been booking live music for weddings since 1999, and every act on this page is one we represent and know well — a covers band, a party band, a function band, whatever you'd call it, the job's the same: read the room and get people dancing. You can hear each one before you decide, read genuine reviews from couples who've actually booked them, and check your date without ever picking up the phone.

Bristol has real range for a wedding: country houses and historic halls, working barns and estates, and well-loved venues around Clifton, Wrington and Tockington that couples come back to again and again — places like Goldney Hall, Barley Wood House, Old Down Manor among them. Wherever you're getting married here, there's usually a band on this page who already knows the room.

That range asks a slightly different thing of the band each time. A big country house or a barn wants a five- or six-piece with a proper PA built to fill the space; a smaller venue or an intimate marquee does just as well with the same band scaled to a four-piece, without losing any of the energy. Some of Bristol's grandest venues run their own noise conditions, so it's always worth checking the licence before you book — we can usually tell you what to expect if we've played the room before.

On cost: most Bristol weddings book a four- or five-piece for somewhere between £1,400 and £2,600. What actually moves that number is the size of the line-up, the day of the week, the time of year, and how far the band's travelling. A Saturday in July will cost more than a Friday in November, and a three-piece will always come in under a seven-piece with horns. We quote against your real date and your real venue rather than a list price, and that quote includes PA, lighting and the band's travel to wherever you're getting married in Bristol — there's no separate mileage charge to budget for.

Ready to book one? Just tell us the date and the venue, and we'll come back with whichever of our acts are free and genuinely suit the room. If you'd like to see a band play live before committing to anything, just ask — we run showcases, and can sometimes get you into a public date too. Nothing's held until it's confirmed in writing, but once it is, that's exactly who turns up.

All of it — Clifton, Wrington, Tockington, Upton Cheyney and Redhill and everywhere between, plus the surrounding towns and villages just over the county line.
Some of the grandest venues run their own noise conditions or curfews, so it's worth confirming the licence when you book — we can usually tell you what to expect if we've played there before.

“Amazing band, amazing singing and very interactive and lovely with the crowd. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening, barely left the dance floor. Fantastic night and the band made it very special. Thank you so much.”

“What an incredible band! Everything about The Uptones was excellent. You had all of us on the dance floor all night - we loved it! We've had so many people say how amazing you were and what a brilliant night they had. We also booked the acoustic duo for the afternoon which set the atmosphere perfectly. You are a talented bunch! Thank you, thank you!”

“From the organisation and planning through to the day of the wedding itself I was so happy with The Uptones. They made the party in the evening and all of our guests said how much fun they had dancing to both sets and wanted more! They were also just really lovely people! Couldn’t recommend them enough!”

“Where do we start?! The Tommy Guns were unbelievably amazing on our wedding day. They absolutely MADE our wedding reception and gave us and our guests a night we’ll never forget. One of the things we appreciated most was how kind and accommodating the band were. They performed our first dance song for us, which wasn't a song in their usual setlist, and were absolutely brilliant. It was such a special moment and one we’ll always treasure. Throughout the night, everyone was up dancing and singing their hearts out. At one point, my husband ended up on stage as an honorary member of the band, and later in the night we were both up there for an impromptu duet! The setlist was a perfect mix of crowd-pleasers that kept the party going all night long for everyone. From our littlest guests to our grandparents, everyone loved the tunes and we had so many guests raving about the band at the end of the night (we couldn't agree with them more!). The Tommy Guns, thank you for giving us all the best time and making our wedding an epic celebration. You guys are awesome!”

“Everyone was blown away with how amazing Stereo Jack was. Acoustic set through the day was great & the set on the night time was fantastic! The energy they brought was amazing, they even played longer than they had to which was appreciated. The dance floor was never empty. Everyone raved about them the next day. I would highly recommend them!”
