Hollins Hall stands high on Hollins Hill above Baildon, looking out across the Aire valley towards the moors, and the view is the first thing anybody mentions. Ask when the room will be free for setting up, since it may be laid for dinner until the turnaround.

Days here follow a comfortable hotel rhythm: ceremony, drinks on the terrace or the lawn with the valley behind you, dinner, then the room turned around while guests drift to the bar. With so many bedrooms upstairs, the crowd tends to stay to the end rather than leaking away for lifts home, which is exactly what you want from a live band — two sets and an encore to a floor that is still busy. The hotel will confirm the finish time and any restriction on amplified music when you book, so ask for both and plan the last dance around them.
