We couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Hireaband were great, Gaye contacting us with 100 days to go was a really nice touch. We were kept up to date and were introduced to the band in plenty of time for us to let them know what we were looking for on the day.
The band were amazing! We couldn’t believe they offer 4 hours of music with a 30 minute break, this was significantly longer than others we’d seen advertised elsewhere. The price was incredible too! What really drew us to the band was the fact it’s six piece, with a great variety of music. The vocals were great too, not the typical ‘belting’ you hear with some event bands. The band were flexible with song choices and when we requested a few ceilidh dances their patience with a mixed Scottish/English crowed was impressive. We asked (in advance of the wedding) if one of our guests could play while they took the band break and they were happy for this to be done which we really appreciated.
Professional, accommodating and got the crowed up which is just what we wanted. We’ve had people asking who the band were and have had great reviews. A huge thank you to the guys!

The team at Hireaband were wonderful to work with from our first contact, with prompt and professional responses to our questions and requests. Our venue changed late on in the process, and we were so concerned about losing our band as our wedding also had to change, but the Hireaband team as well as Geoff and the lads were incredibly accomodating.
As to night itself - wow! The band accomodated our song requests, read the vibe of our guests, and all in all brought an incredible energy. Having an amazing band was one of the most important things to us in the wedding planning process, and every one of our guests has made a point to mention to us just how incredible The Smoking Jeffreys were.

The smoking Jeffreys were exactly what we were looking for. High energy, charismatic and fantastic musicians. We wanted a band that felt like a band you would want to see again at a gig or a festival rather than your typical wedding covers band. They played Indie / ska and everything in between and we LOVED them. Can you believe the dance floor filled whilst they sound checked and it didn’t empty the whole evening. Everyone from children to grannies were dancing the night away and so many of them found us to say it was the best wedding band they had ever heard. They were professional and courteous - they even learnt our first dance ( which was not their style at all ) and the slosh !!! Much to the joy of the brides aunties. Rich’s saxophone solo set was phenomenal, a great surprise and a definite highlight. We can’t recommend them enough and we will be hunting them down at festivals in the future. Great guys. Highly recommend.

If you’re looking for the best live band in Scotland for your event - hire the smokin Jeffrey’s. It’s a no brainer and one of the best decisions you’ll make for your event.
We used the smokin Jeffrey’s for our wedding band and many of our guests said it was the best live band at an event that they’d ever seen. The 6 piece option is unreal , vocals are flawless, staging and lights perfect and they interacted so well with our guests and kept the night so fun with great energy, great music and brilliant song selection. We had a ceilidh at the start too which was great fun. Absolutely loved this band, cannot rate them highly enough. We were so lucky we got them.

The Smoking Jefferies are without doubt, one of the greatest bands in Scotland/the UK. They are incredible at starting a party. A lovely group of guys who will do anything to make your day feel special and get everyone on their feet! I feel incredibly indebted to the band for their contribution to the best day of our lives.

Despite the terrible weather we had the time of our lives thanks to The Smoking Jeffreys. There was so much dancing going on we had to ask the venue to turn up the air conditioning. Brilliant songs.
