Pianists in Wales

Find pianists for your wedding or event in Wales

Wales covers a lot of ground, from Cardiff Bay, Wrexham and Mumbles. Our pianists travel right across the region, so wherever your wedding or event is, you'll find acts on this page who already know the venues, the roads and the local crowds. They're booked for ceremonies, drinks receptions and dinners.

Our listings for Wales take in Cardiff, North Wales and Swansea. Each of those areas has its own page too, which you'll find in the links further down, but the acts here will travel to any of them.

Venues across Wales that our acts know well include National Museum Cardiff and Bodnant Welsh Food Centre, Brangwyn Hall and De Courceys Manor, and Chateau Rhianfa and King Arthur Hotel. Every venue has its own space, power supply and finish time, and we'll check those with the act for you.

Not every pianist does the same job. Within this category you'll find classical, jazz and pop pianists, and singing pianists, and knowing the feel you want for your wedding or event makes the choice much easier.

Since 1999, Hireaband has matched acts with clients right across the country. The pianists here all cover Wales and include travel and, where needed, a digital piano in the price. The instant quote button shows pricing and availability for your date in seconds.

What to know:

  • Budget £250 to £900 for most bookings
  • Every quote includes travel and, where needed, a digital piano
  • Travel within Wales is never added on later
  • Many acts offer longer or extra sets if you need them
  • Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Most acts perform two or three sets, with playlist music or a break in between. Share your running order when you enquire, including any special moments, and we'll build the quote around it.

Most bookings fall between £250 and £900. The size of the line-up is the biggest factor, followed by the date and how long the act plays. Travel and, where needed, a digital piano are included in the quote, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay, wherever you are in Wales.

Rather than a generic demo, every act's page shows the actual line-up you'd be booking, with videos, audio and a song list. Underneath are reviews from clients, often at venues you'll recognise.

Use the instant quote button on this page to see prices and availability for your date. Once you've chosen an act, we handle the contract, the deposit and the arrangements, and stay in touch through to the day. Every booking includes a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and an emergency contact line is available on the day if anything needs sorting quickly.

FAQs

Usually the ceremony music, then background music during the drinks reception and wedding breakfast. Repertoire ranges from classical pieces to piano versions of pop, film and musical songs.

Some can. Singer-pianists add vocals for the aisle, the first dance or a sing-along set, and each act's page makes clear which they offer.

Most pianists bring a digital piano. If your venue in Wales has its own piano, tell us and the pianist will check it's suitable.

Enough room for the piano and a stool, and a power socket for a digital piano. A space of around two by two metres is usually plenty.

Typically £250 to £900, depending on how long they play and the date. Your quote shows exactly what's included.

Most can, given enough notice. Mention it when you enquire.

“I booked Alan to peform at our Masonic Bicentenary event in West Kilbride. It was a tough ask; an all male audience on a beautiful sunny day in broad daylight. To say Alan nailed it is a huge understatment. He wowed the audience with his talent, particularly the Billy Joel fans. He read the room perfectly, played exactly what was needed to keep the crowd happy and at the end brought the house down and enjoyed a well earned standing ovation. An absolute triumph. What a musician and entertainer!”

“At a recent birthday celebration, Tom added a touch of elegance and charm to the event. He effortlessly entertained the guests with a mix of lively tunes and soothing melodies. Tom’s versatility was commendable as he seamlessly switched genres, catering to the diverse preferences of the attendees. His ability to read the room and gauge the energy level ensured that the music perfectly complemented the party atmosphere. Tom's talent was evident, and his performance undoubtedly elevated the overall experience, leaving everyone thoroughly entertained and impressed.”

“Lee Smallman is a good musician and has a wide repertoire. His manner helped to create a convivial atmosphere. It was evident from the start that he drew on considerable experience, despite his youthfulness. Everyone at the party found him and his playing delightful.”

“Joe was perfect for our wedding. He played and sang beautifully both during the reception and for 3 hours during the reception dinner and after-party. He made our day even more special. My family kept him busy all night making all kinds of song requests and he played them all! Booking him again for my mum's birthday party next year.”

“Alan Ryden was fantastic at our ceremony and drinks reception! We could not have asked for better, amazing pianist and singer and played anything we asked. All our guests loved him!”
