Other Wedding Entertainment in the North West

Ceremony and reception acts covering the whole of the North West

Finding the right wedding act is easier when you can see every option in one place. This page covers all of the North West, from Didsbury, Knutsford, Blackburn, Keswick, Lytham St Annes and Southport, and every act listed travels to venues across the region for ceremonies, drinks receptions and wedding breakfasts.

Our listings for the North West take in Blackpool, Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Lancaster, Liverpool and Manchester. Each of those areas has its own page too, which you'll find in the links further down, but the acts here will travel to any of them.

Venues across the North West include The Monastery Manchester, Nunsmere Hall, Wyresdale Park Wedding Barns, Eden Barn, Blackpool Tower Ballroom and Sefton Palm House. It's worth asking yours early about finish times and any sound limiter, as both affect what works on the night.

Across the North West you can choose from solo singers, acoustic duos, pianists, classical guitarists, string quartets, close-up magicians and roaming musicians. Most will take a few requests ahead of the day, and many can learn a special song if you ask.

Since 1999, Hireaband has matched acts with clients right across the country. The ceremony and reception acts here all cover the North West and include travel and any amplification in the price. The instant quote button shows pricing and availability for your date in seconds.

What to know:

  • Budget £300 to £1,500 for most bookings
  • Every quote includes travel and any amplification
  • Travel within the North West is never added on later
  • Many acts offer longer or extra sets if you need them
  • Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Some venues have sound limiters, early finishes or restrictions on where acts can set up. Check these early, as they can decide which line-up is the better fit for your wedding.

Smaller line-ups typically start from around £300, while bigger acts can reach £1,500 or more. Summer Saturdays and December are the busiest dates. The price in your quote includes travel and any amplification, so it won't change once you've booked.

Each act's page carries real video, audio, a song list and reviews from previous clients. A couple of clips will tell you far more about how an act works a room than any description can.

Use the instant quote button on this page to see prices and availability for your date. Once you've chosen an act, we handle the contract, the deposit and the arrangements, and stay in touch through to the day. Every booking includes a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and an emergency contact line is available on the day if anything needs sorting quickly.

FAQs

Everything around the main evening band: ceremony and drinks reception musicians such as solo singers, harpists, pianists, guitarists and string quartets, plus acoustic duos, roaming musicians and close-up magicians.

Many can, given enough notice — mention it when you enquire and the act will confirm whether they can add it to their repertoire for your day.

Harpists, pianists, guitarists and string quartets usually play acoustically in a ceremony room or church; singers and duos bring a small, discreet PA for larger rooms or outdoor spaces.

Yes — booking the same musician or ensemble for the ceremony, drinks and wedding breakfast is common, and usually works out better value than separate bookings.

Typically £300 to £1,500, depending on the act, how long they perform and the date — travel is always included in the quote.

Most couples book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday when the most popular acts go quickly.

“Thank you for a wonderful performance. Jack and Tee were excellent, got everyone up dancing, the music was good enough to satisfy my very fussy musical family and that's saying something. All the guests thought they were great and gave them excellent reviews. We highly recommend them and will not hesitate to call them for another family function. Flexible, current and worth every penny. (10 / 10)”

“Dear Hireaband, We would like to thank you very much for providing the Smooth Jazz Duo to play at our wedding ceremony and champagne reception, at Turnberry on 10th Sept. They were absolutely brilliant, and their music was perfect for both the ceremony and drinks reception after. Our guests loved their music, and they definitely added to the occasion. We can't thank you and the boys enough.”

“Smooth Jazz Duo played at our wedding recently and they were absolutely fantastic. They were background music to our drinks reception which took place outside. You could hear them throughout the walled garden and they were a touch of class. Many guests commented on how great they were. All on was happy for us to send them some requests and this added to our wonderful experience!”

(5)

“You guys are the full package! We'd been looking everywhere for a band that could deliver exactly what we wanted for our special day, and the last thing we wanted to do was hire the piper and the band and the ceilidh band separately - you guys did all three and nailed it! Jordan's piping created the perfect atmosphere for the ceremony, and the ceilidh got everyone on their feet. Thanks for everything!”

(5)

“Before the event Dave did everything possible to work with us and make sure that it all went without a hitch, which was much appreciated. He and the rest of his group were friendly and professional throughout, and our guests loved seeing the joy they so clearly get from what they do. We hadn’t tried jazz at our hotel before, but it went down really well and we received lots of great feedback.”

(5)

“Hi both, we've had many compliments from our guests about your performances and we couldn't be more pleased with how things went. Not only did you provide fantastic live music, but you did it in a tight spot with minimal help from us! We sincerely believe that we could not have chosen a better band for the day and want to thank you both for coming. Mr & Mrs Miller :)”
