Magicians in Derbyshire

Hire a magician in Derbyshire

Magic gives guests something to talk about for the rest of the day. Across Derbyshire, close-up magicians work the drinks reception and the tables at the wedding breakfast, breaking the ice between guests who haven't met before.

Across Derbyshire, magicians are booked for weddings and events in and around Derby, Chesterfield and Matlock. Venues in the area include Thornbridge Hall, The Roundhouse, Derby and Callow Hall, each with its own ceremony rooms, lawns and reception spaces. You'll find more Derbyshire venues below, including Shottle Hall, Tissington Hall and Makeney Hall Hotel, each with its own page.

Magic is a great ice-breaker. While the couple are having photos taken, a close-up magician can bring together guests who have never met, and the tricks become something people talk about for the rest of the day.

We've been booking wedding entertainment since 1999, and every magician on this page covers Derbyshire. You can check your date and price straight away with the instant quote button.

The essentials:

  • Prices usually from £350 up to £800
  • Many acts can cover more than one part of the day in a single booking
  • Summer Saturdays book up first, so it pays to enquire early
  • The quote you receive sets out exactly what's included
  • 14-day change-of-mind refund on every booking

A close-up magician moves between groups, spending a few minutes with each and performing tricks with borrowed items as well as cards. For larger weddings, tell us the guest numbers so we can make sure the booking is long enough for everyone to see them.

Most magician bookings fall between £350 and £800. A single drinks reception slot sits at the lower end, while a magician covering the drinks reception and the wedding breakfast sits towards the upper end. The date and time of year make up the rest of the difference, so a weekday or winter date can cost less than a summer Saturday.

Each act's page carries real video and audio, a repertoire list and reviews from previous clients. Watching a couple of clips tells you far more than any description can, so it's worth listening before you choose.

The instant quote button gives you a price and availability for your date straight away. From there, we manage the contract and deposit and keep you updated until the day. Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and there's an emergency contact line on the day in case anything needs sorting.
