Jewish Wedding & Event Bands in Northumberland

Hora, klezmer and party bands for simchas in Northumberland

Simchas have their own rhythm, from the entrance of the couple and the chair lift to the Hava Nagila set and the late-night party. Across Northumberland, the bands on this page are experienced with Jewish weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs and anniversary celebrations, and they plan every moment with you in advance.

Northumberland has a wide choice of event venues, from Newton Hall and Langley Castle to Doxford Barns. Our bands travel right across the area, including Bamburgh, Hexham and Berwick-upon-Tweed, and many work regularly with kosher caterers and event planners.

Not every band plays a simcha the same way. Some lead a long, high-energy hora set with Israeli favourites, some add a klezmer or acoustic set for the ceremony or reception, and all of them follow up with a party set for the rest of the night.

We've been booking live bands since 1999, and every Jewish event band on this page covers Northumberland. Travel is built into the quote, the band brings what it needs to be heard, and you can check your date and price straight away with the instant quote button.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: from around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband, depending on line-up, date and set times
  • Hora and Israeli dance sets, klezmer and a full party set
  • Ceremony, reception and evening music available
  • Travel is included in every quote
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Start with the size of the celebration and the running order. A large wedding or bar mitzvah suits a showband with several singers and a horn section; a smaller simcha suits a five or six-piece. Tell us when you want the hora and any other key moments, and we'll match you with a band that plans around them.

Most Jewish wedding and bar mitzvah bookings fall between about £1,500 and £4,000. The number of musicians is the biggest factor, followed by the date, the length of the evening and extras such as ceremony music. Travel is included in the quote, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay.

Each band's page carries real video, audio, a song list and reviews from previous clients. A couple of clips will tell you far more about how a band works a room than any description can.

Enter your date and venue in the instant quote button for live pricing and availability. After you book, we look after the contract, deposit and details, and keep in touch right up to the event. You also get a 14-day change-of-mind refund and an emergency contact number to use on the day.

Yes. Every band in this category plays a hora and Israeli dance set, including Hava Nagila and other favourites, and will agree the songs and timing with you before the day.

Many can. Some bands offer an acoustic or klezmer set for the ceremony or drinks reception before the main evening set. Mention it when you enquire and we'll include it in the quote.

Yes. Bands bring their own PA and lighting. Larger showbands need a good-sized stage area and power nearby, so it's worth checking both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £1,500 for a smaller band to £4,000 or more for a large showband. The number of musicians, the date and the length of the evening make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

Yes. Bands experienced with simchas are used to fitting their sets around courses, speeches and the chair lift. They'll agree a running order with you and your caterer or planner in advance.

For weekend weddings and bar mitzvahs, a year or more ahead is common, as the most popular bands book up early. For other dates, a few months' notice is often enough.

“Just a quick note to say thank you to the Milestones for performing at our wedding. They were AMAZING! The dance floor was full right from the first dance to the last, they had everyone boogying the whole night long. I put my complete trust in the band and had only requested a couple of songs and they sure delivered. So many guests commented to us about how good the band were and how they had the dance floor full the whole time. The Milestones are such a friendly and talented group. The whole process has been stress free and professional and we would like to thank the band and everyone involved for helping to make our wedding truly one to remember.”
