More than just your average wedding band, Funk Fiction, based in London, are a versatile and accomplished 6-piece function band for hire for weddings, parties and corporate events.
From small intimate weddings to glamorous functions at London’s Groucho Club and Shoreditch House – regardless of the setting, you can trust Funk Fiction to put their heart and soul into each and every performance.
Showcased in the videos in their full 9 piece lineup, the band is hugely popular in their standard 6 piece lineup that includes Female & Male Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Keys, Drums & Sax. This is what our automated quotes are based on. However they also offer 7-9 piece options adding: Trumpet, Trombone and Percussion. They can also add an upgraded PA & lighting package with crew members for large scale events.

They have a huge and varied repertoire that spans everything from 60s classics to the very latest popular hits. There’s truly something for everyone, no matter what the age range or musical tastes.
Collectively the band are all incredibly experienced and accomplished musicians – they’re all music graduates who have trained at some of the UK’s most prestigious music conservatoires, colleges and universities. As individual musicians, they have performed at venues such as The O2, The Barbican and The Royal Festival Hall; at festivals such as Glastonbury, The Big Chill and Wilderness, and have been heard on BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and BBC London amongst other radio stations. Indeed, members of their brass section are in the current house band for Sky 1’s music and comedy show Bring The Noise.
Converse to the usual story, they’d all played in bands playing original material but really fancied having a go at playing classic, timeless songs that people knew – and enjoyed! By coincidence, they all lived in or around London, so after graduating all decided to keep playing together, and haven’t looked back since.
With the option to add a Jazz set during the day, and to add a manned DJ service in the evening, you have your whole day's entertainment in one band here!

As a musician myself, I looked carefully at the band for our wedding and Funk Fiction did an amazing job. They were very responsive and helpful with organising the logistics in advance, and on the day were professional and accommodating. The band and the stage area looked fantastic, the song choices were spot on and the dance floor was full from beginning to end. The band’s performance was brilliant and the singer was great at interacting with our guests. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
