Boy Bands in Durham

Book a boy band tribute in Durham

Whether it's a milestone birthday in Durham, an anniversary party near Bishop Auckland or a themed night anywhere in Durham, a boy band tribute turns a gathering into a show your guests will talk about. The same act has to work in a hotel ballroom one week and a village hall or back-garden marquee the next, and the best ones do.

Boy band tributes are all about harmonies, matching outfits and choreography, and the songs are pure singalong, so they work brilliantly for groups of friends celebrating together. Our boy band tributes cover Take That, Westlife, One Direction, the Jersey Boys, The Beatles and the Rat Pack, from solo performers singing to backing tracks through to full live bands, most performing in costume as part of the show. Acts on our books include Take on Take That, WestZone, Undivided, The Essential Jersey Boys, The Essential Four Seasons, The Essential Beatles and The Essential Rat Pack.

We've been booking live entertainment since 1999, and every act on this page covers Durham. Most bring their own sound and lighting and handle the set-up and pack-down themselves. The instant quote button shows the price, availability and exactly what's included for your date.

Across Durham, tribute nights take place everywhere from country houses to hotel suites and private marquees. Popular venues in Durham include Black Horse Beamish, Durham Castle and Lumley Castle, and our acts regularly travel to parties in and around Durham and Darlington. Tell us where you're holding yours and we'll suggest acts that suit the room.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: £500 to £2,000, depending on line-up, date and season
  • Your quote shows exactly what's included, from travel to PA and lighting
  • Line-ups from solo tribute artists to full live tribute bands
  • Most parties book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday or December
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

The right line-up depends on the room and the budget more than the guest list. Solo tributes perform to professional backing tracks, need very little floor space and are the most affordable option. A duo or full live band brings real instruments, more volume and more of a concert feel, which suits a larger hall or a bigger crowd. Tell us about the venue and we'll point you towards what fits.

Most bookings fall between £500 and £2,000. Solo tributes performing to backing tracks sit towards the lower end and full live tribute bands towards the upper end, with the day and the time of year making up the rest of the difference — a weekday date can cost less than a Saturday in summer or December. Your quote sets out exactly what's included, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay.

Every act's page carries video and audio of that exact show, so you can see the costumes, hear the voice and judge how close the tribute is to the real thing, rather than relying on a generic demo, alongside their full song list. Underneath are written reviews from people who have already booked them. Between the videos, the set list and the feedback, you can form a clear picture of the night well before you commit.

Use the instant quote button on this page and enter your date and venue to see pricing and availability straight away. Once you've chosen an act, we handle the contract, the deposit and the arrangements, and stay in touch through to the day itself. Every booking comes with a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and an emergency contact line is available on the night if anything needs sorting quickly.

“I would just like to write and say a huge thank you to The Essential Jersey Boys for their performance on Friday night at our black tie Wintertime Ball. They were very professional, sounded amazing and it was a pleasure to have them around. They were easy to talk to, asked for nothing but gave a lot. The band were just like having Frankie Valli and the 4 seasons here, great sound, everyone dancing and all our guests had nothing but positive comments. Great band, great bunch of lads. Thank you.”

“Hi The Essential Robbie, Just a quick message to thank you for such wonderful entertainment on Saturday at the charity ball at The Marriott. It just got the whole place buzzing and everyone can’t stop talking about it. We had a brilliant time and will be recommending you to people. You were very professional in your performance and sang a great choice from different genres from swing, Robbie hits and other rock songs. We had a really great evening. Thank you.”

“Huge Thanks & much respect goes out to this guy, The Essential Robbie Waite, who battled illness, so as not let us down, to entertain us at our charity ball. What a professional! You put on an epic show for us & helped us raise a fantastic amount for two children's charities at £8,211.02p. You're getting to be a regular at these fundraising events, The Essential Robbie!! Many thanks, again ; )”

“The boys were Absolutely Bloody Marvellous. All of the guests (60+) thought they were amazing and as a result we are "the talk of the town". It will be hard to beat the performance that they gave, along with the crowd participation, Elton John or Robbie Williams couldn't have done better. All in all, well worth the money and I would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone of any age group.”

“I booked the boy band undivided for a charity evening and i was not disapointed. The booking team was brilliant and the singers were brilliant. Would highly recommend to everyone and would definitely book them again. The audience age range was 25 to 80 years old and everybody loved them. They were very entertaining and sang a variety of songs. They did not disapoint and we were very pleased.”

“Undivided were brilliant, they were the best performance we had on the day. Everyone was taken aback by how well they performed, they took into account the requests we made and even invited my boyfriend on stage to sing his favourite song with them. Couldn’t recommend them more, we would hire them again in a heartbeat.”
