80s Tribute Acts in Lancashire

Book an 80s tribute band in Lancashire

An 80s tribute act in Lancashire is one of the easiest ways to give a party a theme and a proper centrepiece. Hotels and function rooms around Preston and Blackburn, social clubs near Burnley and marquees at home across Lancashire all make good settings for birthdays, anniversaries, reunions and company celebrations.

80s pop is party music by design: big choruses, synths and power ballads that everyone sings along to, which is why an 80s night is one of the most-booked tribute themes for milestone birthdays. Our 80s tribute acts cover Queen, the Pet Shop Boys, Wham!, Duran Duran, Billy Joel and the synth-pop and power-ballad hits of the decade, from solo performers singing to backing tracks through to full live bands, most performing in costume as part of the show. Acts on our books include Classic Queen, The Essential Pet Shop Boys, The Essential Billy Joel, Rocktail Party, LA Heat!, The Essential 80's, 80s House Party and Essentially Cher.

Hireaband has been booking live entertainment for parties and private events since 1999. Every act listed here travels to Lancashire as standard, and most bring their own PA and lighting and set up and clear away on the night — use the instant quote button on this page to check pricing, availability and exactly what's included for your date.

Looking for a venue as well? Popular places for parties in Lancashire include Stanley House, Eaves Hall and The Shireburn Arms, each with its own local venue page below. Our acts perform right across Lancashire, from Preston to Blackburn, and we can advise on what works best in the room you have booked.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: £500 to £2,000, depending on line-up, date and season
  • Your quote shows exactly what's included, from travel to PA and lighting
  • Line-ups from solo tribute artists to full live tribute bands
  • Most parties book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday or December
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Space and budget matter more than guest numbers. A solo tribute artist singing to high-quality backing tracks fits comfortably into a function room, a pub or a marquee at home, and is the most affordable way to put on a show. A duo or a full live tribute band adds live musicianship and more volume for a bigger room or a bigger crowd. If you tell us the space — hotel room, club function suite, marquee at home — we can usually say what has worked there before.

Most bookings fall between £500 and £2,000. Solo tributes performing to backing tracks sit towards the lower end and full live tribute bands towards the upper end, with the day and the time of year making up the rest of the difference — a weekday date can cost less than a Saturday in summer or December. Your quote sets out exactly what's included, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay.

You don't have to take anyone's word for it. Each act's page has video and audio of the real show, their full song list, and reviews from people who have booked them before. Watch a few clips, check the costumes and the voice, and read what other hosts said about the night itself.

Getting a price takes seconds: add your date and venue to the instant quote. After you book, we look after the paperwork, the deposit and every detail with the act, and stay on hand until the night itself. Every booking includes a 14-day change-of-mind refund, plus an emergency line on the night in case anything needs sorting.

FAQs

Artist tributes such as Queen and the Pet Shop Boys, head-to-head shows like Wham! versus Duran Duran, and 80s party bands playing the whole decade's biggest hits.

Very — an 80s night is one of the most popular party themes, and plenty of guests will turn up in costume to match the act.

Yes — a marquee or a large room at home is a common setting, and a solo tribute in particular needs very little space. The same act can just as easily play a hotel function room or a social club the next weekend.

Usually, yes. Solo and duo tributes need only a small performance area and a standard power supply; for a full band, tell us the room and we'll check the line-up fits comfortably.

Typically £500 to £2,000, depending mainly on whether it's a solo tribute or a full live band, and on the date. Your quote shows exactly what's included.

Most parties book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday or a December date, when the most popular tributes go quickly.
