70s Tribute Acts & Bands in the East Midlands

Book 70s tribute acts anywhere in the East Midlands

Finding the right 70s tribute act is easier when you can see every option in one place. This page covers all of the East Midlands, from Nottingham, Kettering, Grantham, Chesterfield and Leicester, and every act listed travels to venues across the region for 70s nights, birthdays and themed parties.

This region page covers Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. If you already know which area your venue is in, the links below take you to the page for that area, with venues and acts picked for it.

From Kelham House and Home Farm Events to Stubton Hall, Donington Park Farmhouse, Rothley Court Hotel and Norwood Park, the venues across the East Midlands range from grand country houses to barns, hotels and city spaces. Our acts are used to adapting to all of them.

Across the East Midlands you can choose from solo tributes and full bands recreating the biggest names and hits of the 70s. Most will take a few requests ahead of the day, and many can learn a special song if you ask.

We've been booking 70s tribute acts since 1999, and every act on this page travels across the East Midlands. PA, lighting and travel are built into the quote, and you can check your date and price straight away with the instant quote button.

At a glance:

  • Most 70s tribute acts cost between £500 and £2,000
  • PA, lighting and travel are included in the price you're quoted
  • One page covering every area of the East Midlands
  • Popular acts book up early for busy dates, so enquire soon
  • A 14-day change-of-mind refund comes with every booking

Start with the space and the guest numbers. A smaller line-up suits an intimate room or a venue with a sound limiter, while a larger act fills a ballroom or marquee. Tell us the venue and numbers and we'll suggest what tends to work.

Most bookings fall between £500 and £2,000. The size of the line-up is the biggest factor, followed by the date and how long the act plays. PA, lighting and travel are included in the quote, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay, wherever you are in the East Midlands.

Each act's page carries real video, audio, a song list and reviews from previous clients. A couple of clips will tell you far more about how an act works a room than any description can.

Enter your date and venue in the instant quote button for live pricing and availability. After you book, we look after the contract, deposit and details, and keep in touch right up to the event. You also get a 14-day change-of-mind refund and an emergency contact number to use on the day.

FAQs

ABBA is the best-known, alongside Queen, Elton John and Rod Stewart tributes and disco shows built around the dance-floor hits of the decade.

That's usually the point — ABBA and disco in particular are some of the most reliable dance-floor fillers there are.

Yes — a marquee or a large room at home is a common setting, and a solo tribute in particular needs very little space. The same act can just as easily play a hotel function room or a social club the next weekend.

Usually, yes. Solo and duo tributes need only a small performance area and a standard power supply; for a full band, tell us the room and we'll check the line-up fits comfortably.

Typically £500 to £2,000, depending mainly on whether it's a solo tribute or a full live band, and on the date. Your quote shows exactly what's included.

Most parties book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday or a December date, when the most popular tributes go quickly.

“Wow just wow.
We have just had Soul Sensations at our Music on the Prom event althrough the weather wasn't the best (wind and rain) these guys put on a cracking show. We have seen Motown acts before but nothing like this. The high energy, the dance moves, the vocals, the harmonising - oh my the harmonising. What a show, what a performance, what a day. We would highly recommend Soul Sensations and hopefully we will see them again at Music on the Prom. Just get them booked!”

“Well what can I say. Hire a band and absolute Abba well easy to communicate with. Debbie and the others from the Abba tribute were a pleasure to have in our home and they truly made our birthday celebration.
Everyone at our party really enjoyed the group and they got everyone dancing and singing. I cannot recommend Hire a band and Absolute Abba enough. I was concerned about hiring a band from the internet but I really need not worry, everything went smoothly.”

“After the first few chords the floor was alive with 70's retro cladded party goers. The songs were fantastic, the band musicians excellent! The band appeared to be having as good time as the party goers! Everyone has been talking about how great the party was for weeks, and in particular Chic 2 Chic. Even the gig-die-hards said "what an amazing band". If you want a special night call on Chic 2 Chic, they are worth every penny!”

“What a great show on Saturday, I have had some fantastic feedback from club members saying that you are the best thing they have heard and seen in a long time!” We’ll definitely be booking the band again. “The band were a great success and really added a touch of professionalism to the whole event. The audience new all the songs and what a great set for a great day”

“Hi Lisa,
Now that everything’s calmed down and I’m a bit more caught up with myself, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your help and to let you know that Elton went down an absolute STORM on Saturday night at our Disco Ball.
People are still commenting to me how good he was, and he certainly had everyone up dancing 😊”

“We had the best time on Friday night with the ABBA Tones. They were so good and kept us all on the dance floor all night.
Their voices are gorgeous!
This was a surprise for my sisters hen do and she loved it. We managed to keep it a secret from all the other attendees too and everyone was blown away!
Thanks so much 💜”
