Burton Constable Hall sits just outside Hull in more than 300 acres of Capability Brown parkland, and it is East Yorkshire's grandest historic house venue by some distance: an Elizabethan hall with floor-to-ceiling sash windows, opulent plasterwork and grounds that give a wedding day a genuine sense of scale before a single guest has arrived.
The estate offers a choice of licensed spaces to marry in, from the Great Hall, which seats up to 80 beneath its period interior, to an outdoor ceremony beside the Orangery on its own lawn, also for up to 80. For the reception that follows, the Old Riding School and Barn is the estate's biggest and most flexible space, taking up to 400 guests seated, while the smaller Carriage House in the historic stable block suits a more intimate party of up to 50.
