An exclusive-use country house on the Humber
Bardney Hall is a country house on Whitecross Street in Barton-upon-Humber, right on the northern edge of Lincolnshire where it meets the Humber. It's a short run over the Humber Bridge from Hull and Hessle, and about half an hour from Beverley, Grimsby and Scunthorpe, so bands coming from Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire or South Yorkshire all have an easy journey. The house is family-run, and hire is exclusive: the house, gardens and all five bedrooms belong to one party for the whole booking, with on-site parking included.
Rooms and numbers
This is an intimate venue rather than a big hotel. Inside the house, the Ceremony Room seats around 60 and the Garden Room around 70, with civil ceremonies licensed indoors and in the grounds. Without a marquee the venue takes up to 70 day guests and 100 in the evening. Between mid-May and mid-September a marquee or tipi can be added in the gardens, which lifts that to around 90 day guests and 120 in the evening. Five boutique bedrooms sleep ten, so the couple and their closest family can stay on site.
