Tommy & Sons

Tommy & Sons performed at our wedding on the hottest day of the year (38 degrees!). They were professional throughout and so friendly. Due to the heat, most people were outside so were missing all the music, but the band happily set up outside instead and it turned the atmosphere into a much more relaxed, live music vibe rather than a wedding party, which was just what we were aiming for! The music was fantastic and we would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting live music at their event!

From start to finish communication with Ian and the band members was great. They were very attentive and paid close attention to our wishes prior to the event. On the night itself this paid off as they catered to every detail and request we made. Their performance on the night was fantastic! All night myself and our guests were on our feet and I received countless compliments on the band. They're very talented at what they do and sounded great. They completely made our wedding reception! We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better band than Tommy and the Big Guns/Tommy & Sons for our wedding. From start to finish they were professional, self-sufficient, and so easy to work with. Setup was completely straightforward, timings were flexible on the day, and the whole process felt seamless. The sound was absolutely incredible, with the brass section and double bass adding something really special that our guests are still talking about. The atmosphere they created was pure party energy – the dancefloor was full all night, and both of us (bride and groom) didn’t stop dancing once! Their crowd interaction was fantastic, and they even gave me a big moment by letting me jump on the mic with Ian, which was unforgettable. They also learnt and performed Seventeen Going Under by Sam Fender just for us – such a personal touch that made the night even more special. We’ve had countless guests tell us it was the best evening band they have ever heard at a wedding, and we couldn’t agree more. If you want a band that delivers incredible sound, non-stop energy, and a packed dancefloor, we’d recommend them 100 times over

I have taken the liberty of personally calling Jono of The Tommy Guns to thank him and the rest of the band for the brilliant sets which got every one up and dancing at our party.

We were asked if we had a special song that they could play for us, we gingerly asked them if at all possible to play our wedding song which is a little know song by Bruce Springsteen's "Should I Fall Behind".
To say we were knocked out by Jono and the bands rendition of this very special song for us is putting it mildly.

It was amazing!! It was difficult for us to hear the difference, it was as if Bruce himself was singing to us in deepest darkest Dartmoor!!! What an incredible take on this song Jono and his band did for us. I am sure that if The Boss himself heard you sing this, he too would have been equally impressed, just brilliant. Thank you Tommy Guns, if we need a band again we will be calling you be sure of that.

Tommy & Sons we’re absolutely phenomenal - and every one of our guests would agree! (So much so, we have friends desperate to try and hire them for their weddings abroad!)
They went above and beyond to learn not just one, but numerous songs, take requests, change their schedule to our order of the day and perform a great DJ set to suit the vibe of the evening.
Their outstanding vocals, upbeat nature and friendly personalities were just the cherry on top of the cake! We can’t recommend this band enough for other couples wanting to dance the night away and impress their guests with incredible live music! You won’t be disappointed!

Tommy & Sons played our August 2022 wedding and were incredible. Guests all commented afterwards how awesome they were and how they got the dancefloor going big time! Jono and the band were so flexible with requests, and for giving the Bride & Groom such an incredible evening - even letting the Bride have a quick singalong. Tommy & Sons were absolutely brilliant. We hired them for our wedding as we wanted the folk style music and they delivered and then some. Our first dance was amazing, and hats off to them for learning it as it was a very niche song that we've only found available on Youtube, they absolutely nailed it. Not only did they deliver exceptional performances, which were commented on over and over by the guests, they were also a really nice bunch of lads. At one point after set up, our 2 1/2 year old daughter decided she wanted to have a go on the drums and they were so accommodating of her. If you're in 2 minds as to whether to book them, just do it, you will not be disappointed

They were absolutely incredible. The quality of the performance was every bit as good (if not better than) the videos on the website, but far more importantly was how amazing they were as people. The guys were all wonderful to have at the wedding - fun, professional and able to read the crowd like only the best bands can. We had a full dance floor all night (with the exception of a couple of tracks dancing in the rain, fully supported by the band themselves!) We cannot recommend them enough!

The Tommy Guns exceeded our expectations in both the run up and performance at our recent wedding and we have had consistent feedback from guests that they are the best wedding / event band that they had seen.

We hired the four piece both for the day during canapés and also for the evening entertainment. We opted to not contribute to choosing the set list and the guys did not disappoint. They read the room perfectly and the dance floor was literally bursting at the seems during every one of their sets.

Additionally, they went above and beyond in providing the music for the first dance and were happy to run and manage the music for a later ‘surprise’ dance routine performed by the bride and her father.

They were also so accommodating in agreeing to perform a number with the father-of-the-bride, a surprise for everyone and a real highlight of the day.

We can’t thank The Tommy Guns enough for their calm, confident and relaxed approach to the day, for accommodating all the personal touches and surprises and most importantly for being phenomenally talented musicians and keeping everyone dancing and singing at the top of their lungs ALL night. We can’t recommend them enough and are literally looking for an excuse for an event to hire them back again!

We booked Tommy & Sons for our wedding and they did not disappoint. We wanted something upbeat that would fill the dancefloor and they were phenomenal. Their set list was perfect and they really got the party started. Tommy and Sons performed an acoustic set at our drinks reception and performed as a 4 piece band in the evening. We could not have asked for a better band. They were incredible and everyone loved them. We could not thank them enough. They played our first dance song exceptionally well and they threw in a couple of Radiohead songs at the grooms request which we greatly appreciated. Thank you guys so much. We have already had people asking about you!

We hired Tommy & Sons to perform at our wedding reception. Wow, Wow, Wow - utterly incredible. The energy and talent, and joy was overflowing, and we are still talking about them two months later - as are our friends and family! Tommy & Sons were so easy to work with, I booked them last minute to play and they turned up into the unknown and played all night long! Really getting the crowd going and even letting my mum sing on the mic (best/worse thing I’ve ever been witness to). The guys really were great and so polite the whole time. WOW! What an amazing team these guys are. Tommy & Sons were an excellent band choice for a client's summer party hosted at the Secret River Garden in Twickenham.
As a new venue, I had some slight reservations about many aspects of the planning but booking this band, Tommy & Sons was not one of them!
The guys were super polite, energetic, personable & friendly mingling (and singing too) with guests.
Getting this particular client up and off their feet was a great achievement in itself!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Tommy & Sons = AMAZING! They are worth every penny. We chose them for our wedding and were not disappointed. Aside from being prompt and having great communication with Hireaband throughout, the band were so friendly and their music was so superb that the dance floor was never empty. So many comments from guests saying how good they were, I almost wish we were getting married again to have them back! My wife and I cannot speak highly enough of Tommy & Sons. Their performance at our wedding was the perfect balance of indie swagger and crow pleasing favourites. The band themselves are friendly and relaxed. The inclusion of a handful of pop-punk anthems was greatly appreciated by many of the guests old enough to know better.

Tommy & Sons were a fantastic band who went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs and really finished off our wedding celebrations with a bang. They are brilliant musicians that covered an amazing array of songs and with such a great energy that the dance floor was never empty. From start to finish dealing with Irving and then the band themselves the whole process has been faultless. I dealt with a lot of suppliers and the band and the Hireaband office were by far one of the best. Not only completely flexible but also 100% reliable remembering everything we discussed before the day. Most importantly the band were absolutely amazing, they had the dance floor filled the whole time and everyone said they'd never seen a dance floor so filled especially so early on in the evening. Them learning our first dance turned out to be the most special and memorable part of the day for me, as everyone got up on the dance floor singing and dancing along. They also remained chilled and happy when everyone was drunk and decided they could sing haha. It made my day and I would recommend them to anyone, everyone said best entertainment they've seen at weddings and so proud they were at ours. It was a real shame the venue wouldn't allow the acoustic set to use an amp but they worked with it and were great. Literally can't thank you all enough.

Can't rate the guys highly enough, they were fantastic! They read the crowd and knew what to play which resulted in a fantastic atmosphere at our wedding. We booked Tommy & Sons for our wedding in June. It's always quite nerve wracking hiring a band for a day that you will never forget but The Tommy guns absolutely made our wedding. There were people dancing from the first song to the last and of every age. We would recommend them to anyone whether it be a party or a wedding! you wont be disappointed!

We saw Tommy & Sons at our friends wedding booked them that night. We had a wide range of ages attending our big day so we asked Tommy & Sons to cater for that. The boys were lovely gentlemen who covered so many genres and decades that everybody loved. We also had a lovely rendition of Baby, I'm Yours as our first dance that the band played as we danced. Its quite magic having a live band playing for you! we Highly recommend this band! The kids also loved the One direction songs they added in on request! :)
