The Thrills

The Thrills were quite simply the best wedding band many of our guests and us both have experienced. The lead vocals were spectacular, the songs played were perfect and they managed to have the dance floor filled throughout the night. We couldn’t have asked for a better band at our wedding day, genuinely brilliant! Please pass this onto the band!

Firstly, thanks to you Rachel and all at Hireaband for being a part of our day!
So, The Thrills. WOW. We still don’t have words. They were absolutely fantastic. Working in the industry, we’ve seen some pretty shocking bands, but I can say confidently we’ve not seen better. I (Kirsty) was on the dance floor all night singing my heart out, and so were many of our guests. They were incredible. Please extend our utmost thanks to the hireaband team and the band for all of their efforts. We will be singing all of your praises for a very long time.

The Thrills truly lived up to their name at the Golspie Gala Marquee! Their performance was an electrifying blend of infectious energy and top-notch musicinship that had the crowd dancing and singing along from start to finish. We would gladly welcome back again!!!

Great band kept the dance floor busy all night. Guests were raving about how good they were. Easy to chat to and still professional. Learned our first dance no problem when they didn't know the song. Keep to the time schedule and made the evening run smoothly. Good mix of music to please everyone. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

Hireaband were very helpful throughout and being able to listen to and watch bands on the website is really useful for deciding who to hire. The Thrills were excellent. Lots of our guests commented on how good they sounded and they had us on the dance floor all night. Great music and a great group of guys.

As music lovers, we agreed that a non-negotiable for our wedding was a great band. The Thrills exceeded all of our expectations, with guests at the wedding commenting on how much they enjoyed the band and the ceilidh (led by The Thrills)! A wedding is a long day and getting people dancing after a big meal can be difficult. However, the band were incredible at lifting the energy and it was impossible to not get up on the dance floor. Prior to the day, we asked if they would like a set list from us on suggested songs, they told us we could if we wanted to but they were good at judging the mood and gauging what people wanted. We trusted them and they did not disappoint! The set list was impeccable and had a mix of all genres, for all ages. Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding day so perfect. For anyone looking, we HIGHLY recommend The Thrills.

We picked The Thrills after changing our wedding date and our other band were unavailable. We were NOT disappointed. They had the dance floor packed all night completely read the room and got all the banging tunes going. Everyone had such a great night and music is always a huge part of that. We can't thank hire a band and The Thrills enough we enjoyed every second of it. They even learned a new song for us and it was perfect.

The Hireband website is brilliant - I found what I was looking for almost immediately and the you tube videos really helped.
The band themselves were even better than the videos - they were absolutely banging. There was a slight delay to the start due to some technical problems but it was fine - the photographers took more photos of us so it was fine. They were worth the wait - everyone said to me about how brilliant they were. Banger after Banger all night long and the ceilidh set they did just made it so much better!
A sincere thank you to the band - we had the most amazing wedding party thanks to them.
As for Hireaband - everyone also asked where I found the band, so they have all been told.

I can't even begin to describe how incredible The Thrills were for our wedding on 19th October 2023! The dancefloor was packed from start to finish and wow what a voice! Couldn't recommend them more people keep commenting on how amazing our band were. They were early, super friendly and even arranged with our best man for him and some family to come up and do a surprise couple of songs for us.
They were absolutely the highlight of the night and we're still so buzzing!

Absoloutly incredible band The Thrills! The amount of comments from our friends & family saying how much they loved the band and the song choices! It was just perfect!
Everyone was up dancing, the dance floor packed and they just made the night! It was amazing to see everyone really enjoying themselves at our wedding reception. Our friends faces lit up when they started playing classics we grew up listening to.
The Thrill members also took time to talk to us and kept in touch throughout. Such nice guys. We can't thank the band enough for an amazing night.

We chose you less than a year ago knowing that less than a year is not ideal for booking wedding bands. Prior to booking you, we had an eye on a band who, on going to book, were unavailable. That band became available again mid year and I'll be honest with you, we toyed with the idea of switching. We're soooo glad we didn't, so glad!
We've been saying that we want to have another party just to hear you guys playing again. Phenomenal!

The Thrills played at our wedding last night, and we couldnt recommend them more! We had guests commenting on how good they were all through the night.
They were so willing to learn our first dance song and a special request, and they were amazing at both.They interacted with us and our guests through out the night. Great bunch of lads, and lead singers voice is brilliant.Would highly recommend!!

The Thrills played at our wedding in Glasgow Cottiers on the 23rd June 2023. We & our guests cannot recommend them enough! We have had many compliments about the set list, song choices, good fun & incredible voice! Everyone had a thoroughly wonderful time & not many of us left the dance floor! We had many requests for the slosh which was performed really well. A particular favourite for us (tough as there were many!) as bride and groom was jimmy eat world - the middle. All communications with the band were excellent & we would absolutely hire them again. Excellent professionalism throughout. To the Thrills, thank you so much for a wonderful evening of music, dancing and fun and a wonderful kick off to our reception. We loved the blend of songs which were a mix of both current music & classic tunes. We had an absolute ball and can’t thank you enough! With love from Lisa & Douglas (aka. Mr & Mrs Wright).

The Thrills performed at our wedding on Saturday and are without doubt the best band we have ever experienced. Not ony us but many of our guests felt the same, even those who work weddings themselves. Their set list was great and they were very accommodating with the odd special request. It couldn't have been the easiest of gigs as the small room was a bit of a sauna to say the least, however we all persevered and fed off the energy that was in the room to create an unforgettable music experience for our big day.

We had the honour of The Thrills playing at our wedding on 3rd June. They are totally down to earth and were all absolute gentlemen. We are the most unorganised couple on this planet they learnt our first dance song 2 days prior and they performed it perfectly. They were so much fun. We had a venue where the dance floor was totally separate to the bar and seating areas and worried people would be more interested in the bar than the dance floor and that was not the case at all. They know how to get the party started. The night absolutely flew by and cannot recommend them enough. Made our wedding one our family and friends say they will never forget.

The Thrills were fantastic from start to finish. They kept the party going and the dance floor was never empty. They played a variety of songs from oldies to current chart songs which kept everyone entertained including my 2 children. The guys were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended them!

Had The Thrills play at my wedding reception on Saturday just past and they were absolutely brilliant. Played a mixture of your tradtional wedding reception songs through to some cracking rock covers. The band hit every note and the lead singer has a phenomenal voice covering everything from Abba through to the high notes of Justin Hawkins of The Darkness and absolutely nailing a cover of Rage Against the Machine.
Had a lot of comments from guests mentioning how impressed with how good the band were and it was probably the best wedding band they had seen. Even had a comment from one of our guests who loves his live music that he felt like he was at a proper rock gig!
Couldn't recommend these guys enough and to top if off they are all very friendly, down to earth people.

The Thrills were so much fun! Got the night off to a great start and keep the dancefloor busy all night. We had such a wide range of guests there and everyone was up which was so nice to see. Hireaband made finding our band so easy and were super responsive to our messages, sorry for all the questions!!

We booked The Thrills at the last minute. We were very nervous about how things would turn out but the band just blew us and all our guests away. Great songs, energetic performance and they even arrived earlier than expected to put our minds at rest because they knew we’d be worried. They never missed a beat and the floor was never empty. Simply fantastic. The Thrills played at my 60th party with an age range from 3 to 80. Not only got everyone dancing but everyone has said how much they enjoyed the band. Excellent band and good people. Don’t hesitate for a second !

We’re still buzzing from the party The Thrills gave us. Not your usual cheesy wedding band. This was like a proper night out with a great band who were also just the nicest guys. Went like clockwork. Also thanks to Gaye at Hireaband for telling us about them and making the process so easy.

The Thrills were amazing. Best wedding band I’ve ever heard and we've been to a lot of weddings! Everyone loved them. Our guests couldn’t believe a wedding band could be this good.
