The Records comprises highly skilled music professionals based in London, UK. They divide their time between live music performance, work, education, music tuition and solo projects. Their combined musical experience has taken them all over the world — Europe, USA, Japan and Canada — playing alongside world-famous musicians, such as Scouting For Girls, The Guillemots, (Bob Marley’s) The Wailers and Chris Shiflett (guitarist for the Foo Fighters).
The band are available as a Five Piece (standard) including Female Vocals, Guitar/Male Vocals, Bass, Drums & Keys. They are also available in a reduced line-up (three and four piece) to suit a smaller venue or for a more acoustic lounge-style feel. They also include a background DJ service when not performing for no additional cost.
Their diverse musical background creates a unique blend of timeless Motown, catchy pop, driving rock and smooth jazz, backed by years of live performances and professional studio recording. Individually, they have secured airtime on national radio stations, received critical acclaim on industry websites and played in some of the world’s best venues, such as the iconic Abbey Road Studios.

Hireaband have made something that could have been quite challenging, finding a band for our wedding, very easy. From looking at all the bands online and watching their videos, they supporting us through the ordering process and correspondence up to the day. I just wanted to thank you all for such an amazing night on Friday. The whole department haven’t stopped talking about what a fantastic band you are and what a success the night was. I was telling Rob that we were struggling to get people on board with live music at the summer party but in the end I was starting to worry they were going to keep you playing all night – they didn’t want it to end! The Records played at my close friend’s wedding in Bexhill in June 2017. They were brilliant! Great mix of music covering everything from The Jackson 5 to Ed Sheeran with a bit of Maroon 5 thrown in for good measure. There wasn’t a single song played that didn’t have the dance floor full, and the on-stage presence of both the lead singer and bass player kept everyone entertained. They were quick and discreet during set up and pack down meaning that the proceedings were never interrupted. The band themselves were friendly and seemed to enjoy the night just as much as everyone else in attendance. I can’t recommend them enough for your next event!
We booked The Records for our 40th party. They're nothing short of brilliant, not only are they great performers and singers they are really nice people. Who from the minute I met them put my mind at rest that they were exactly what I had expected.
I looked through so many band profiles and you tube videos, the minute I saw Rebel and Records video profile I stopped looking.
