The Ladybirds are two girls. Two tall girls. Two tall girls with one guitar. Two tall girls with one guitar and two microphones. Two tall girls with one guitar, two microphones and a whole load of songs you’re going to love.

Back along at the dawn of time or something like that, these two tall girls met and had a chat in the car park at their new Uni. A beautiful-ish friendship was born and they’ve been singing and drinking and traveling together ever since (they still hang around chatting in car parks). After studying commercial music for 3 years they both started singing in various bands and built up quite the reputation as highly sought after erm ... singers. Sometimes they sang together, sometimes separately and they both went off and did other exciting things like Pensions Administration and Benefits Claims. When Philly gave up life on the high seas (she’s actually a pirate by trade) she came back to Bristol and started working full time in the awesome band Session One with her bestie Char. One day the landlord at the local pub was looking for another act for a music festival and asked if they knew anyone that would be willing to play for free booze. Ask a stupid question… They threw a few songs together, didn’t write a set list, took full advantage of the free booze on offer, played to a very appreciative audience and The Ladybirds were born! 

Since that day in 2014, they have played all over the place, in bars, restaurants and weddings. They love learning new songs suggested to them by their ‘fans’ and are now known for their sense of humour and on stage banter as well as their amazing set list. Who knew you could play R. Kelly so ‘well’ as an acoustic duo?! The Ladybirds are two highly experienced and accomplished professional vocalists who also happen to be best friends and love gigging together. You really have to catch them live, they are entertaining, silly and really rather good!

The girls have over 12 years professional performance experience and have played all over the world including Dubai, Israel and South Korea as well as extensively in the UK. For all their silliness they are both highly trained  and qualified (Bath Spa University and The Royal Academy of Music) and have hundreds of gigs, sessions and shows under their belts. The Ladybirds are available for all sorts of gigs - bars, hotels, weddings, festivals, etc. and are happy to travel for work internationally.
