Fronted by an internationally acclaimed singer from London with a captivating voice bringing a touch of glamour to any event. She sings with the Multi talented Jaxx Band for weddings, events and occasions. They perform Big Band Standards, but also a great selection of Soul & Motown favourites so that there is something for eveyone. Their sets favour jazz, blues, swing, evoking the nostalgic magic of the 40's and 50's as well as a selection of songs from the 60's right up to the present day. Some of the Artists featured are Peggy Lee, Judy garland, The Beatles, The Carpenters, Mel Torme, Fleetwood Mac, Cole Porter, Michael Jackson; to name just a few.
The Jaxx Band are primarily an eight piece band, with a plethora of superbly talented musicians. They have impressive musicianship of a guitar and rhythm section, and a brass section. If you are looking for maximum impact - and maximum dancing - at your event, then the eight piece option is certainly the one for you.
However, we know that there is not always the budget - or the space! - for the full eight piece band, so they can offer an array of smaller, stripped back ensembles: we can entertain as a simple two piece, vocals and piano; you could opt for the classic quartet of vocals, keys, bass and drums; or you can add a drummer for a quintet with an edge.
