The Glasgow Ceilidh Band

The Glasgow Ceilidh Band were very kind and helpful! We were late starting the dancing bit, but they were so patient and everyone loved the performances. With most of our guests being non-Scottish, having a caller for the ceilidh was very helpful indeed. Thanks to everyone from the band & Hireaband for making our wedding celebrations so fun!

Everyone; Hireband and the band themselves were lovely, super organised, no logistical issues with a farther venue and just overall made it so easy! Everyone had a blast with the ceilidh.

The Glasgow Ceilidh band were phenomenal at our wedding. Every dance was played and called perfectly and the band did really well in getting everyone on the dancefloor, even with lots of first time ceilidhers. The disco section was also delivered really well, with the energy kept sky high ready for a brilliant orcadian strip the willow and Loch Lomond at the end. Thank you so much! Can't recommend highly enough! Fabulous!

The Glasgow Ceilidh Band were absolutely amazing. They talked everyone through the dances clearly and had a good mix of ceilidh dances and covers to give dancers a rest. The also took into account our song requests and adjusted timings to suit us. So many of our guest commented on how talented the band were. We can’t thank you enough for making our evening so special and memorable!

The guys were punctual, friendly, and the music was brilliant! They structured the set really well, with a good balance between Ceilidh dances and other music to make sure there were always plenty of people getting involved in every dance.Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a Ceilidh band.

We held a small dinner dance for 40 people and the band were superb. We were limited for space to dance as floor was small but the boys facilitated the music and dance so we had the ideal mix for our small crowd.
They are very talented musicians & nice people , so we had no issues and I am sure we would consider using them again.

The guys were not only very professional, but also really nice people. They had a lovely positive approach, were very patient with our attempts to dance to the instructions they called out and great fun to have at our wedding. Our band, The Foot Stompin' Ceilidh Band, were incredible. Hugely talented, friendly and really great with the crowd.
Our ceilidh was amazing, and they did such a brilliant job of talking us through the more complex dances. We had a lot of foreign guests and they gave a real sense of a true Scottish wedding!
Everyone mentioned how brilliant they were and we couldn't agree more.

Our wedding party had several junior guests who were keen to join in the ceilidh. The band were fantastic at including the younger guests. In the end the kids picked up the dances quicker than the adults!

I would highly recommend this band. We had a lot of people whom had never been to a ceilidh before and many that were french however Ross was an excellent caller and everyone managed to join in and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I had chosen this band as they had bagpipes too which gives the band that extra bit of "oomph" I think!
We didn't use them as dj as had our own but they played our first song for us first.

The Band were excellent, very friendly and professional. They were happy to be flexible ,as our timings on the night went a bit askew!This then ensured our evening was successful. Everyone enjoyed listening and dancing to the music, and were full of compliments for the Band. We would have no hesitation in recommending Glasgow Ceilidh Band to others.
With regard to the website ,we found this easy to use, and had a very quick response rate. It was great to have samples of Bands playing so we could listen, and watch them play.
The Hireaband staff, who we had contact with, have all been really helpful, and prompt with replies and paperwork.

Hi Gaye - just wanted to send you a message to say how fantastic The Glasgow Ceilidh Band were at our party on Saturday night - a large number of our guests (quite a lot of whom are musicians) commented on how good the band were. And they couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating with the way the evening ran.
