Overview
Each member of Shimmer has masses of experience at events across the globe from South America to the UAE, the foursome came together over 3 years ago with the scope of putting something new and fresh in to the live party band scene.
Performing everything from current chart toppers to classic pop bangers, you'll find it irresistible not to roar along to their righteous renditions. With inspiration drawn from today's pop icons, their shows will stop you in your tracks and force you to put those bedroom moves into practice!
As a 4 piece they are fronted with powerhouse vocals from JJ, plus they have the option to add Saxophone and/or an additional vocalist. They can also add-on daytime entertainment and/or a manned DJ service.
The guys have performed some incredible gigs for all types of clients from international cruise lines, weddings, festivals, parties and corporate events including well known brands such as Le Mans 24hr, Thomas Cook, Badminton Horse Trials, Oktoberfest, Tours of the French Alps (Rond Point, LOCO Club & Cocorico), Fred Olsen, P&O, DFDS, Tallink, 02 Academy, Wayne’s Bar (Nice), The BBC, Za Za Bazaar chain and Vale Resorts.
The members all have BA Honours Degrees in Professional Musicianship and have achieved success in their individual careers including being signed to record labels, performing with award winning bands, UK tours, a recording at the world famous Real World Studios and even a gig at Hyde Park!

Absolutely fantastic! The dance floor was full throughout the night. They played all the song we requested and all our guests loved their energy and vibe. We had such a great time! Thank you so much. The whole process from Hireaband was smooth and well-organised. And we would 100% recommend Shimmer again!
The band we chose, Shimmer, was absolutely incredible. As our wedding approached, Hireaband sent us contact details for the band and we contacted them directly to create a bespoke playlist and to chat through logistics.
Shimmer were a perfect choice for our wedding - they arrived on time, set up really efficiently and were ready to start playing when we had said. They were extremely talented musicians and all my friends and family were up dancing all the way through the two sets. I can't recommend Hireaband and Shimmer enough!
Thanks to Steve for preparing last minute song requests and being available to ask questions. The band arrived and gave us the best musical entertainment we could of ever wished for. Professional, polite, and were ‘on it’ ASAP! We are delighted that Shimmer were at our wedding and we cannot recommend ‘hireaband’ and Shimmer enough!

I booked Shimmer to play at my New Years Eve party and they played a storm! They had the entire venue dancing and put such great spirits amongst us all, the place was rockin! Thank you for being the best wedding band ever!!! I've lost count of the number of guests who made a point of saying how brilliant you were! Kept the floor full, indulged my nieces air guitar solo and even surprised us with one of our favourite tunes, totally unexpected and made us so happy.
