Pippa Reid-Foster, Clarsach.

Pippa Reid-Foster™s interest in music began at the age of eight, when she started learning to play the piano. Music became a prominent element of her school career during which she studied the cello, whistle, Bodhran and finally Clarsach. Based in Kilcreggan, on the West Coast of Scotland, she has travelled on traditional music tours and has taken part in many music competitions including the International MOD and the Glasgow Music Festival. She has led the West of Scotland Independent School Orchestra™s cello section and has played live on BBC Scotlands Celtic Connections.

Pippa enjoys playing her Clarsach (traditional Scottish harp) at a diverse range of venues and travels far and wide to entertain at weddings, public and private receptions, cooperate events, charity events and various other functions. Pippa has a wide repertoire, which ranges from Scottish and Irish traditional tunes to contemporary jazz pieces and she combines this with her own arrangements.

For a wedding ceremony Pippa will play while the guests arrive, as the bride processes up the isle, for the signing of the register and as the bride and groom walk back down the isle. She can also play background music for the receptions afterwards.
