Our Bands Don’t Just Perform at Weddings!

To some people, the idea of a wedding band conjures up all kinds of visions of really cheesy music performed by old geezers dressed in frilly shirts and dodgy suits.

Although there are bands like that out there, the reality couldn’t be further from the truth.  Modern wedding bands are now made up of some of the finest young musicians in the country.

It’s now so difficult to make a living as a musician playing original music, that a huge number of performers who would previously avoided playing at weddings and private functions like the plague are now making all or most of their income from performing other people’s music at weddings and corporate events.

In fact we represent a number of so called wedding bands who have within their ranks session musicians of international standing.  Indeed it’s not unusual to see the musicians we represent on tour and on stage with some of the biggest names in pop and rock music.  One night they may be on stage in a stadium or major theatre and the next, performing at a wedding or corporate event.

So, if you’re planning a private party for family and friends or a corporate bash for a blue chip company in a fancy city centre hotel, don’t be put off with the wedding band tag.

The list of companies that have booked their bands through Hireaband reads like the FTSE – there’s hardly a business in Britain that hasn’t used us to source brilliant live music for all kinds of reasons, from awards ceremonies to product launches.

We firmly believe that almost any event is enhanced by great live music.  Nothing improves the atmosphere or increases the enjoyment of your guests more than great tunes, played well by talented and enthusiastic musicians.
Now you don’t have to be BMW to hire a band for an event.  Our bands regularly play at birthday parties, engagement parties, Bar Mitzvah’s and even recently a divorce party (I wonder if she used the same band that played at the wedding?)
So don’t discount a really popular wedding band for your next event.  Weddings are just another string to their bow.  By their nature wedding audiences are diverse, with all ages and tastes to cater for. That means that no matter the make up of your audience, a great wedding band will be able to make your event better.
