Mariachi & Latin Bands in Hampshire

Book a mariachi or Latin band in Hampshire

If you want an event that feels like a summer holiday, a Latin band is a good place to start. Acts across Hampshire play Mexican mariachi, Cuban and salsa sets, Brazilian samba and bossa nova, and Latin-flavoured party covers, and they're booked for private parties, weddings and corporate events alike.

Hampshire has a wide choice of event venues, from Hayling Island Sailing Club and The Elvetham to Lainston House. Our mariachi and Latin acts travel right across the area, including Basingstoke, the New Forest and Southampton, so a fiesta is never far away.

Not every Latin act does the same job. A mariachi group is at its best strolling among guests with trumpets and guitars, a salsa band fills a dance floor, and a bossa nova duo or trio sets a relaxed tone for a drinks reception or dinner. Knowing the kind of moment you want makes the choice much easier.

We've been booking live bands since 1999, and every Latin act on this page covers Hampshire. Travel is built into the quote, the band brings what it needs to be heard, and you can check your date and price straight away with the instant quote button.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: from around £500 for a smaller act to £2,500 or more for a larger band, depending on line-up, date and set times
  • Mariachi, salsa, Cuban, samba, bossa nova and Latin party acts
  • Strolling sets for drinks receptions and stage sets for dancing
  • Travel is included in every quote
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

A trio or four-piece suits most parties and strolling sets. For a large corporate event, a festival or a big themed night, a five-piece or larger band with brass fills the space properly. Tell us the venue, the theme and the guest numbers and we'll suggest what tends to work.

Most mariachi and Latin bookings fall between about £500 and £2,500. The number of musicians is the biggest factor, followed by the date and how long they play, and summer weekends are the busiest time. Travel is included in the quote, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay.

Every act's page has video and audio of the musicians who would actually play, their repertoire and written reviews from people who have booked them. It's the easiest way to check the style and the show before you commit.

The instant quote button gives you a price and availability for your date straight away. From there, we manage the contract and deposit and keep you updated until the event. Every booking is covered by a 14-day change-of-mind refund, and there's an emergency contact line on the day in case anything needs sorting.

FAQs

The category covers traditional mariachi groups, salsa and Cuban bands, Brazilian samba and bossa nova acts, Latin jazz ensembles and Latin party bands that also play chart hits. Each act's page shows its style, line-up and song list.

Yes, that's what mariachi does best. Most mariachi groups play acoustically, so they can move between tables or around a garden during a drinks reception, a meal or a fun day. Check the act's page or ask us when you enquire.

Most do. Mariachi groups usually perform in charro suits and sombreros, and many salsa and Latin party bands have their own stage outfits. The photos and videos on each act's page show exactly what to expect.

Most do. Stage and dance bands bring their own PA; acoustic and strolling acts may need nothing at all. Larger line-ups need floor space and power nearby, so it's worth checking both with your venue, along with any sound limiter.

From around £500 for a smaller act to £2,500 or more for a larger band. The number of musicians, the date and the length of the booking make the biggest difference, and travel is always included in the quote.

Yes. Many couples book a mariachi group or a bossa nova trio for the drinks reception, then a salsa or Latin party band for the evening. Some acts can cover both, and we can suggest combinations when you enquire.
