Get to Know the Best Bands in Scotland - The Trueloves

4

The Trueloves have establshed themselves as one of the most in demand wedding and events bands in Scotland.

In only a few years they've gone from new kids on the block to big name veterans of hundreds of weddings and some really high profile corporate events and parties. Part of their secret is the level of customer service they provide. Indeed, they love the fact that they have earned more 5 star reviews than practically any other band in the country.

We wanted to give their existing clients and anyone actively considering booking them the chance to get to know them a wee bit better. So we asked them to take part in our Get to Know the Best Bands in Scotland series. We sat them down on hard chairs, turned the lamp up high and pointed it at them. Here's what we learned;

What’s the furthest you’ve travelled to play a gig?

We have played as far as England to the very North of Scottish Highlands

Which is your favourite wedding venue to perform in?

We have too many favourite venues, it's hard to pick just one. They are all uniquely stunning.

Which is your favourite non-wedding venue to perform in?

The Scotia Bar...it’s extremely hard to get a 3 piece band in there, the tightest space ever, but, having said that, it’s a great venue for live music according to the punters.

Which is your favourite song to perform?

Every song we deliver with the maximum effort, our favourite song is the one that gets everyone singing to the top of their voices and fills the dance floor. That changes from wedding to wedding.

Which is the most popular first dance you’re asked to play?

The One - Kodaline

What’s the best thing about playing at a wedding?

We will be remembered forever by the wedding party, the smiles on people’s faces, the happiness of the Bride and Groom when they see everyone enjoying the night, people enjoying themselves, the dancing and the sense of accomplishment.

What’s the worst thing about playing at a wedding?

There is no such thing for The Trueloves.

Apart from booking your band, what’s the best bit of advice you could give a couple planning their wedding?

Get comfy shoes on.
