With our roots in Irish music we have tailored our act to the needs of our audience blending traditional Irish tunes with contemporary Irish songs and adding an exciting range of well loved rock favourites from the 1950's through to the present day.
All four band members take vocal leads and contribute cool harmonies. Andy's driving bass with John's dynamic drumming provide a rock solid foundation for Jane's amazing keyboard skills and the incredible guitar talents of Stevie who also plays a mean mandolin. We will take you back to ould Ireland, twang your heartstrings, get your feet tapping, then we'll rock the socks off you and send you home feeling really mellow. We play pubs and clubs, weddings, corporate events, festivals,etc. You name it we can do it. We have many years collective experience in folk, rock, jazz and blues all over the U.K. and in Europe. As a four piece band we are one of the most dynamic and capable bands on the circuit today. We happily do an Irish Night, but if that is not your scene we'll give you an evening of top quality music with a great deal of friendship and fun."

I have been a fan of ‘Emerald’ for nearly 15 years. They are simply one of the best bands on the entertainment circuit and I have booked them for a variety of occasions. My love for their music started in a Student Union Bar when they raised the roof with a fantastic mix of Irish and Celtic rock classics. Audience participation, great humour and quality music made the band very popular indeed. Since then I have booked them for birthday parties, charity events and my own wedding. My wife and I were adamant that we simply had to have them for our wedding reception and they did us proud. Planning for the wedding we knew we needed a group we could rely on. Andy liaised with the venue to ensure everything ran smoothly and the evening was a great success. One of the most memorable experiences has been my school’s annual ‘Party in the Playground’. It is somewhat unusual for a primary school to have an Irish/Celtic Rock Band in its playground but I would certainly recommend it! I had no idea that the event would be so successful, attracting visitors each year from local villages, towns and even a couple from Ireland! Emerald have played for three consecutive years at the event and are loved by staff, parents and children alike. Watching hundreds of people singing and dancing together is a wonderful sight. Musically Emerald are superb. During a set, the vocals are shared amongst all band members which gives a dynamic that many other bands fail to offer. Their wide range of instruments provides fantastic live music which you cannot help but move along to! I always highly recommend Emerald and I am looking forward to the next Party in the Playground!
Emerald Celtic Rock Band. What a fantastic evening - the band was absolutely brilliant! Everyone is still talking about it, how much they enjoyed the music and dancing. A very likeable group of musicians who have a lovely way and manner about them with great interaction. Our guests spanned all ages from teens to eighties and Emerald rocked them all.
