70s Tribute Acts in Herefordshire

Book a 70s tribute band in Herefordshire

From function rooms at hotels around Hereford and Ledbury to golf and social clubs near Leominster, and marquees going up in back gardens across Herefordshire, a 70s tribute act in Herefordshire can turn a party into a proper show. Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, themed nights and company celebrations all suit a 70s tribute act — and the act has to work just as well in a village hall as it does in a hotel ballroom.

The 70s is the decade of the dance floor: ABBA, disco and glam rock are made for parties, and a 70s night gives guests an easy theme to dress up for. Our 70s tribute acts cover ABBA, Queen, Elton John, Rod Stewart, the Bee Gees, Chic and the disco era, from solo performers singing to backing tracks through to full live bands, most performing in costume as part of the show. Acts on our books include Abbatones, Arrival, Absolute ABBA Tribute, Flash – A Tribute to Queen, The Essential Elton John, The Essential Rod Stewart, Chic 2 Chic, Disco Inferno and The Essential Four Seasons.

We've been booking live entertainment since 1999, and every act on this page covers Herefordshire. Most bring their own sound and lighting and handle the set-up and pack-down themselves. The instant quote button shows the price, availability and exactly what's included for your date.

Across Herefordshire, tribute nights take place everywhere from country houses to hotel suites and private marquees. Popular venues in Herefordshire include Eastnor Castle, Lyde Arundel and Dewsall Court, and our acts regularly travel to parties in and around Hereford and Ledbury. Tell us where you're holding yours and we'll suggest acts that suit the room.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: £500 to £2,000, depending on line-up, date and season
  • Your quote shows exactly what's included, from travel to PA and lighting
  • Line-ups from solo tribute artists to full live tribute bands
  • Most parties book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday or December
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

Start with the space you have. In a function room, a pub or a marquee in the garden, a solo tribute singing to backing tracks gives you the full show for the lowest cost. For a ballroom, a big hall or a crowd that wants live musicians on stage, a duo or full tribute band is the better fit. We can usually tell you what has worked in similar venues before.

Most bookings fall between £500 and £2,000. Solo tributes performing to backing tracks sit towards the lower end and full live tribute bands towards the upper end, with the day and the time of year making up the rest of the difference — a weekday date can cost less than a Saturday in summer or December. Your quote sets out exactly what's included, so the figure you're given is the figure you pay.

Before you book, watch and listen. Every act here has its own page with genuine video and audio of their performance, a complete set list and written reviews from previous clients, so you can compare how each tribute looks and sounds and choose the one that suits your guests.

Getting a price takes seconds: add your date and venue to the instant quote. After you book, we look after the paperwork, the deposit and every detail with the act, and stay on hand until the night itself. Every booking includes a 14-day change-of-mind refund, plus an emergency line on the night in case anything needs sorting.

FAQs

ABBA is the best-known, alongside Queen, Elton John and Rod Stewart tributes and disco shows built around the dance-floor hits of the decade.

That's usually the point — ABBA and disco in particular are some of the most reliable dance-floor fillers there are.

Yes — a marquee or a large room at home is a common setting, and a solo tribute in particular needs very little space. The same act can just as easily play a hotel function room or a social club the next weekend.

Usually, yes. Solo and duo tributes need only a small performance area and a standard power supply; for a full band, tell us the room and we'll check the line-up fits comfortably.

Typically £500 to £2,000, depending mainly on whether it's a solo tribute or a full live band, and on the date. Your quote shows exactly what's included.

Most parties book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday or a December date, when the most popular tributes go quickly.

“Many thanks for arranging the Band to play at the Rose & Crown. This is the first band we have booked and thanks for making it so easy…The guys were fantastic and we will certainly be asking them back through the year. We do have a wide spread of ages in the village and all enjoyed the night. Thanks again, all the best, Phil”

“Thank you so much for arranging Abbatones for our daughters 21st on 7th June.
Abbatones were fabulous. The dance floor was full all night and the girls were excellent at interacting with the crowd. We managed to keep the whole thing a secret which was amazing and our daughter had the greatest night. I would highly recommend them for a fun night.”

“The Abba girls were very calm and professional. They gave me great confidence that it was going to be a great night even when there were issues with the venues electrics. They did not disappoint. Their performance was amazing, with costumes changes and audience participation. It was a fabulous evening and I won’t hesitate to recommend them. Thank you so much”

“Alan was fantastic, he played 3 sets with the middle one being Elton John which was fabulous. He read the crowd and knew exactly what would get everyone going. We had a mixed age range and everyone loved it. Highly recommend Alan for any party.
Thanks to the team at Hire a Band for organising everything for us.”

“Wayne & Morgan, what can I say. You Had the Cowglen Golf Club bouncing last night. A full house for a top drawer act, you two guys sure know your stuff. The hard work you both put in is amazing. Soul Sensations will be back next year, we can't wait till we're dancing on the ceiling again.”
