70s Tribute Acts in Cambridgeshire

Book a 70s tribute band in Cambridgeshire

A 70s tribute act in Cambridgeshire is one of the easiest ways to give a party a theme and a proper centrepiece. Hotels and function rooms around Cambridge and Peterborough, social clubs near Ely and marquees at home across Cambridgeshire all make good settings for birthdays, anniversaries, reunions and company celebrations.

The 70s is the decade of the dance floor: ABBA, disco and glam rock are made for parties, and a 70s night gives guests an easy theme to dress up for. Our 70s tribute acts cover ABBA, Queen, Elton John, Rod Stewart, the Bee Gees, Chic and the disco era, from solo performers singing to backing tracks through to full live bands, most performing in costume as part of the show. Acts on our books include Abbatones, Arrival, Absolute ABBA Tribute, Flash – A Tribute to Queen, The Essential Elton John, The Essential Rod Stewart, Chic 2 Chic, Disco Inferno and The Essential Four Seasons.

Since 1999 Hireaband has matched acts to parties across the UK, and everyone listed here performs in Cambridgeshire. Most arrive with their own PA and lights and look after set-up and clear-down, so you can enjoy the night. Check your date with the instant quote for pricing and a clear list of what's included.

Parties in Cambridgeshire range from black-tie nights at venues such as South Farm to relaxed celebrations at Trinity Hall or Swynford Manor, and plenty more in hotels and clubs around Cambridge and Peterborough. Every act listed here travels to Cambridgeshire, so you can choose on the show rather than the postcode.

The essentials:

  • Typical cost: £500 to £2,000, depending on line-up, date and season
  • Your quote shows exactly what's included, from travel to PA and lighting
  • Line-ups from solo tribute artists to full live tribute bands
  • Most parties book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday or December
  • Every booking carries a 14-day change-of-mind refund

The right line-up depends on the room and the budget more than the guest list. Solo tributes perform to professional backing tracks, need very little floor space and are the most affordable option. A duo or full live band brings real instruments, more volume and more of a concert feel, which suits a larger hall or a bigger crowd. Tell us about the venue and we'll point you towards what fits.

Expect to pay somewhere between £500 and £2,000. The biggest factor is the line-up: a solo tribute to backing tracks costs less than a full live band. The date matters too, with Saturdays in summer and December in highest demand, while weekday and off-season dates often cost less. Your quote lists exactly what's included, with no extras added later.

You don't have to take anyone's word for it. Each act's page has video and audio of the real show, their full song list, and reviews from people who have booked them before. Watch a few clips, check the costumes and the voice, and read what other hosts said about the night itself.

Getting a price takes seconds: add your date and venue to the instant quote. After you book, we look after the paperwork, the deposit and every detail with the act, and stay on hand until the night itself. Every booking includes a 14-day change-of-mind refund, plus an emergency line on the night in case anything needs sorting.

FAQs

ABBA is the best-known, alongside Queen, Elton John and Rod Stewart tributes and disco shows built around the dance-floor hits of the decade.

That's usually the point — ABBA and disco in particular are some of the most reliable dance-floor fillers there are.

Yes — a marquee or a large room at home is a common setting, and a solo tribute in particular needs very little space. The same act can just as easily play a hotel function room or a social club the next weekend.

Usually, yes. Solo and duo tributes need only a small performance area and a standard power supply; for a full band, tell us the room and we'll check the line-up fits comfortably.

Typically £500 to £2,000, depending mainly on whether it's a solo tribute or a full live band, and on the date. Your quote shows exactly what's included.

Most parties book several months ahead, sooner for a summer Saturday or a December date, when the most popular tributes go quickly.

“Everything was perfect from start of booking to end of performers time on stage. Essentially Cher was absolutely amazing - the feedback from guests was extremely positive. I would have no doubt in recommending this performer, thank you so much x”

“James went above and beyond for our night, he had the audience up dancing and singing for the full show. I would highly recommend the Essential Rod Stewart to anyone looking to book.”

“Wow just wow.
We have just had Soul Sensations at our Music on the Prom event althrough the weather wasn't the best (wind and rain) these guys put on a cracking show. We have seen Motown acts before but nothing like this. The high energy, the dance moves, the vocals, the harmonising - oh my the harmonising. What a show, what a performance, what a day. We would highly recommend Soul Sensations and hopefully we will see them again at Music on the Prom. Just get them booked!”

“Well what can I say. Hire a band and absolute Abba well easy to communicate with. Debbie and the others from the Abba tribute were a pleasure to have in our home and they truly made our birthday celebration.
Everyone at our party really enjoyed the group and they got everyone dancing and singing. I cannot recommend Hire a band and Absolute Abba enough. I was concerned about hiring a band from the internet but I really need not worry, everything went smoothly.”

“After the first few chords the floor was alive with 70's retro cladded party goers. The songs were fantastic, the band musicians excellent! The band appeared to be having as good time as the party goers! Everyone has been talking about how great the party was for weeks, and in particular Chic 2 Chic. Even the gig-die-hards said "what an amazing band". If you want a special night call on Chic 2 Chic, they are worth every penny!”

“What a great show on Saturday, I have had some fantastic feedback from club members saying that you are the best thing they have heard and seen in a long time!” We’ll definitely be booking the band again. “The band were a great success and really added a touch of professionalism to the whole event. The audience new all the songs and what a great set for a great day”
