We had such a brilliant time last night and the band completely hit the spot. The lounge music during dinner set the mood perfectly, and the party afterwards was amazing! it was great to see so many people dancing – even the older ones! The only sadness was having to bring it all to an end! We’ll definitely be hiring you again next year!

Wow! Where do we even start? Thank you so much for being a part of our day on Saturday – we can’t even believe how good you were! Literally every single person (on the evening – and since) has made a comment about how amazing you all are! The dancefloor was full from start to finish – and we really do have you to thank for that. We also LOVED the DJ set – which picked up on our vibe perfectly – and had everyone dancing (again!)
We keep saying that “if only there wasn’t a cut off point for the music at our venue” – you genuinely wouldn’t have got rid of us! You guys brought the vibe(s) and made our day!

We saw Soul Sugar Band perform at a friends wedding and thought they were amazing. As soon as we were organising our own party, we knew we had to have them play for us. We were not disappointed. They were every bit as good as the first time we’d seen them. They are very professional, super friendly and great musicians. We love the style of their music, but it’s their energy that really hits you. Every member of the band gives it their all and you really feel like they are enjoying their performance. The female vocalist has got so much energy. She makes her performance really personal to you and is on the dance floor with you….amazing! We didn’t stop dancing all night!

Soul Sugar Band played at our wedding in the Bodleian Library, Oxford. They had two sensational vocalists who filled the dance floor the whole night long, carrying off an amazing repertoire of funk, soul, disco and some contemporary chart pieces. The band’s leader James was endlessly helpful and patient in the lead-up to our big day and no request for too big. The DJ (Russell) curated three brilliant sets when the band wasn’t playing and really helped us decide on song choices in the weeks leading up to the event. We couldn’t have been happier with them and would highly recommend!

Soul Sugar Band were phenomenal!! They provided us with the fantastic entertainment that we had wished for our wedding evening. We found the band to be extremely professional in organising and setting up for our night. The night was perfect with a lot of great songs performed, the band were all fantastic quality musicians, both singers were amazing and kept the crowd grooving and dancing. We all had a lot of fun! If anyone is looking for a wedding band then we would whole-heartedly recommend the Soul Sugar Band. They were very professional, played a variety of the tracks we asked for, where full of energy and enthusiasm but most importantly got people up on the dancefloor. Lead female singer was fantastic and interacted with the crowd brilliantly. Everyone was raving about them post wedding and they even learnt the first dance tune as an extra – which was a great touch. Thank you for adding the extra gloss to our wedding day.

We were incredibly lucky to have Soul Sugar perform at our wedding. They brought so much genuine energy to the evening as well as playing three incredible sets. The dancefloor was full throughout the night and so many guests commented on how superb the band were. The mixture of songs in their set-list and consideration of our preferences fully exceeded all of our expectations and we could not recommend the band more. The band were professional, reliable and most importantly exceptional performers. All our guests loved the music and had an amazing time. 3 weeks before the wedding James contacted me and we discussed at length the format of the set, first dance and general house keeping. I wanted to write and express our thanks and gratitude for the your performance at our wedding on 9th March. When we started looking for a band to perform at our wedding we looked at so many different websites and pages, listened to so many audio clip…but we kept being drawn back to Soul Sugar Band. I’m so glad we were as we could not have wished for anything better, you literally exceeded our expectations in every area possible. When we saw you all turn up we knew we’d made the right choice as you looked stunning, but then a little later Kerry and I were outside with the photographer and we could hear you sound checking – the photographer turned round and said that he could see/hear where we’d invested in the wedding! He hears a lot of bands, as you can imagine, and from that one sound check he said that he could tell you were worth the money we’d spent! Thank you so much for being as accommodating as you were with the set up arrangements. The talent that you all possess as musicians/vocalists is incredible. I’m sure you know when you’ve ‘got’ the room at any performance, but I can’t remember seeing a point when the dancefloor was less than full. That has to be the ultimate accolade. The same also goes for the DJ as he more than kept things ticking over and the crowd hot whilst you were on a break and then finished the night off perfectly – I don’t think he wanted to stop! I honestly cannot thank you enough James, and ask that you pass our thanks on to the other band members. I don’t think I was able to get to you on the night to say thank you, and for that I apologise, but I am genuinely speechless as to what a good night we had. It was the perfect celebration of our day – thank you.

I know that Dom has already sent you a voice note with our thanks to you all for coming to perform at our wedding reception at the weekend but you were all so incredible I felt I needed to email you myself to say thank you!
I let Dom have sole pick/control of the music etc for our day as that is his thing and when he showed me the videos of you guys I knew you would be amazing but nothing prepared me for how incredible you truly were!

The Soul Sugar band were great. They played the music we wanted with great skill and energy. The lead vocal was excellent. She has a super voice and really got the crowd going. Great fun.

Many thanks for all your efforts in arranging Soul Sugar Band’s appearance. They were really good and such nice folk – very courteous and generally nice peeps. I feel guilty now sending them out on the streets to get food! ;o) We could have done with another hour of their set – the time flew by and what with running about 15 minutes behind schedule and ‘Jess’ performing, their time was all too brief. I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for your excellent sets at my niece's wedding at Crabbs Barn last night. I really don't think I've ever seen a wedding band such as yourselves where every single thing was so absolutely spot on; the astounding musicianship of the band, the phenomenal vocals and amazing stage presence of the singer, the variety of the repertoire, the tightness of the performance, the well balanced sound, the engagement with the punters, the overall presentation, I could go on...
Clare and Andrew had a fantastic wedding day, and it was so beautifully concluded with your 3 sets. They, and indeed the rest of the family and guests, were still raving about you today, and will doubtless continue to do so for a while yet.
I very much hope to see you again, and will certainly recommend you to anyone who is on the lookout for a wedding band.

Everything we knew we would get from a Soul Sugar performance - slamming groove, high energy, slick performance, wonderful vibes everywhere - were there in spades. Soul Sugar were amazing, and they made the evening the incredible party that it was! They brought a great, lively atmosphere, with Sasha singing and dancing through the dancefloor, getting everyone involved. I had originally booked Soul Sugar for my 60th birthday party in 2020 but obviously the pandemic put paid to that and the event was postponed for a year. Throughout this stressful extended booking period James was calm, helpful, reassuring and a total pleasure to deal with; all my questions and concerns were answered promptly.I had decided that I wanted to celebrate my birthday by dancing the night away and so I had researched bands on the internet. I had chosen Soul Sugar because, despite never having seen them live, their video told me all I needed to know – so I booked them immediately and hoped they would deliver a great evening. On the night of my party we arrived early, just in time to hear the end of the sound check- it was utterly thrilling! I knew then that booking all 10 band members was the very best decision I could possibly have made. I simply cannot stress enough just how absolutely AMAZING the band were. The 3 vocalists were astounding and hugely engaging and the musicians were absolutely fabulous. Every single party guest raved about the quality of the music and as one friend said the band was “beyond extraordinary”. The atmosphere was electric, the performances were polished and the delivery was so slick! I was on the dance floor for every minute of all three sets and the whole evening was utterly joyful. I cannot tell you how happy I was to have chosen Soul Sugar, it’s one of the best decisions I have ever made! I really cannot praise them highly enough. If you love great live music and want to have the best possible time then do not hesitate for a moment – book them now!

The music was something that was very important to us but we had nothing to worry about as they were outstanding and better than we could have ever imagined.

Soul Sugar were totally fantastic at my son's wedding! They threw themselves into their performance and judged the audience and the mood perfectly. I just wanted to send you and the band a huge thank you for playing at our wedding! You guys are so talented and professional. Every guest we've spoken to since has said how brilliant you were and our dance floor was full all night! My dad is a hard one to please when it comes to live music as its one of his passions and he was made up with you guys.
We are so glad we had you there and thank you for coming to Wales for us!

This band are absolutely fantastic! The music was excellent, Sasha the lead singer was so engaging, has a beautiful voice and really made everyone get on the dance floor. James the main organiser was extremely easy to deal with and did everything to accommodate special requests.the whole band were great fun and a pleasure to have around. I have been asked many times about where we found the band as they were so great!

Soul Sugar were great. They played the music we wanted with great skill and energy. The lead vocal was excellent. She has a super voice and really got the crowd going. Great fun.

Punctual, professional and accommodating as we were a bit late and just a wonderful performance. We would definitely recommend this band for fun loving soul shaking funky people. Huge thank you to Soul Sugar for making our garden wedding so absolutely fantastic! The acoustic set was perfect for after the ceremony and the party sets got everyone on the dancefloor! We couldn’t have asked for anything more.
