We have been fortunate enough to stay at the Downcliffe House Hotel, Filey previously , however on our last visit we were intrigued to read about an upcoming soul evening dinner dance , which we were told by the owners Darren and Lizzie was an awesome must attend evening.
They under sold it!!! The hotel restaurant was full and buzzing, the meal as always scored 11/10, the staff as always scored 11/10, and the service really is exceptional.
Just before dessert Ritchie Penrose started his slot, I have never heard a better live singer. For 2 hours solid he blasted out some soul & Motown classics and within minutes the place was rocking, even I was up dancing!!
The atmosphere was amazing, truly a night to remember. We have already booked in to see Ritchie perform again at the Downcliffe in February 2017

Our first Valentines dinner was an outstanding success. I would like to thank Ritchie for making our evening so enjoyable. Ritchie was amazing, everyone thought he was wonderful. He made the evening very special and romantic for all of us. He seems to know the words to every song ever made. He really is a very talented and mesmerising man. He had the audience in the palm of his hand. We will definitely be repeating this again next year. Thanks for all your support once again.

May I say what a fantastic evening last Saturday at The Masonic Hall.
It is always worrying for the host at events such as these, but as soon as Ritchie started singing, I just knew it was going to be a successful evening, he was just great.... I can tell you.
I have been to many of these functions, and at midnight the dance floor is usually empty, but not so last Saturday, and again thanks to Ritchie for continuing to entertain us long after his allotted time. I have received numerous e-mails of congratulations, and Ritchie is mentioned in every one.
