The Burdock Band

I just wanted to drop you a note to say how much we enjoyed the band on 26 September. Paul and I loved it and although almost everyone else was reluctant [at first] to get up and give it a go they also enjoyed themselves once they took that first step. A great way to do something a bit different for an evening and also to get everyone involved. We had a group of people who didn't know each other too well and it was a great way to really break the ice and create an easy atmosphere. We all had a fantastic night at my 30th birthday party, I danced all night and as people got into the swing of things I don't think there was a space free on the dance floor. There were many who had never been to a celdih [sic] before and as their first impression it was a good one, my friends are still talking about it now. (Faye, Stockton Football Club)

Everyone that I spoke to only had positive comments and thought the band was great for this type of party. Dan did a great job of getting everyone of all ages involved and the band really added to our enjoyment of the evening. Everyone seemed to have great fun and I would happily recommend the band to anyone organising this kind of party. Dear Dan and the Burdocks, Thank you so much for playing at our wedding in Leicester on 26th October. You guys were fantastic! Between my husband and I we've been to quite a few ceilidhs - but we're pleased to be able to boast having booked the best band around. We really liked the way Dan was in amongst it getting people up and dancing, rather than just standing on the stage. You even got my brother-in-law to dance who always refuses to dance, including at his own wedding! Some of the kids who were there still like to do the "wedding blessing" dance moves when they see me!
