The Blue Dukes

Here's the Blue Dukes story;

One freezing cold evening in December 2011 guitarist & singer Gerard Aza was walking through central London when he heard guitarist Rick Venn cooking up some hot jazz licks for tips. The two musicians exchanged details and met up the following day. A couple of tunes later they were already swinging and The Blue Dukes were formed.

Drummer Tamas Teszary and Bassist Brendan Rowley were recruited for the first gig, a club night in the unlikely setting of Vodka Revolution Cambridge. The Blue Dukes' incendiary blend of rockabilly, swing and surf almost caused a riot of exuberance in the crammed nightclub. The band was instantly re-booked.

Since then the band has taken bookings across London and the Southeast, delivering entertainment, class and style to any and all events. The Blue Dukes select only the finest dance numbers from the 20th century by artists such as Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Queen, Frank Sinatra, The Rolling Stones and many more and then give them the essential quirky Blue Dukes treatment.

The Blue Dukes can be hired for pub gigs, club nights, weddings and parties and are one of the most in demand bands in London and the South East.
